My 2006 lincoln zephyr's front

covered under my warranty. Do you have extended warranty ? Regular warranty was up long time ago . You mite check anyway. This is a electronic problem , SJB - smart junction box is a electronic module that controls the lights . Principles of Operation The smart junction box (SJB) monitors the headlamp switch position by sending multiple voltage reference signals to the headlamp switch. When the headlamp switch is in any given position, that input signal is routed to ground. When the SJB receives an input from the headlamp switch indicating a request for the parking lamps, the SJB energizes the parking lamp relay, which supplies voltage to the exterior lamps. Inspection and Verification
  1. Verify the customer concern.
  1. Visually inspect the following for obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.
Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
  • Headlamp switch
  • Smart junction box (SJB) fuse 4 (15A) (parking lamps)
  • SJB
  • Rear lamp assembly
  • Bulb(s)
  • Circuitry
  1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
NOTE: Make sure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position. NOTE: Make sure the multifunction switch is in the LOW BEAM position.
  1. If the cause is not visually evident, connect the diagnostic tool to the data link connector (DLC) and select the vehicle to be tested from the diagnostic tool menu. If the diagnostic tool does not communicate with the vehicle:
    • check that the program card is correctly installed.
    • check the connections to the vehicle.
    • check the ignition switch position.
  1. If the diagnostic tool still does not communicate with the vehicle, refer to the diagnostic tool operating manual.
  1. Carry out the diagnostic tool data link test. If the diagnostic tool responds with:
    • CAN or ISO circuit fault; all electronic control units no response/not equipped, refer to Section 418-00 .
    • No response/not equipped for SJB, refer to Section 419-10 .
    • System passed, retrieve and record the continuous diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs and carry out the self-test diagnostics for the SJB.
  1. If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the Smart Junction Box (SJB) Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index.
  1. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, GO to Symptom Chart .
Principles of Operation The smart junction box (SJB) monitors the multifunction switch position by sending multiple voltage reference signals to the multifunction switch. When the multifunction switch is in the LH or RH TURN positions, or the hazard lamp switch is engaged, that input signal is routed to ground. When the SJB receives a request for a turn signal or hazard lamps, the SJB supplies voltage to the appropriate turn lamps.

Have a 2006 Lincoln Zephyr with 75000 miles, took

If that car was mine,I'd take it to Ford and pay their diagnostic fee. Before you do that, unhook the battery cable for a half hour and then reconnect and let it idle for a few minutes. If it acts okay, drive it TOWARD the Ford dealer and check it out. Your car is at the age that it needs Coil-over-plugs and spark plugs, along with a fuel filter. The coils-over plugs can cause BAD things to happen to the PCM(by electrical interference) which controls a LOT of functions. don-ohio (:^)

2006 zephyr, tail lights do

Not quite sure if you are talking about the stoplamps or the parklamps which would I think be front and back. But if you look in the fuse panel located inside the vehicle to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal, in the number 4 position is a 15 amp fuse which covers parklamps & the license plate lamps. In the number 21 position is the stoplamps fuse and is a 7.5 amp fuse. This should be in your owners manual if you have one. if you need an owners manual for your car, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy of it. No worries it won't cost you anything.....yes there are still free things in the world. Anyway here is a picture of that fuse box layout for you if you need it. I hope this helps you and good luck.

My driver's side headlight is

if one side works, its not going to be a fuse, whoever installed it needs to recheck it if that is possible,, On those bulbs its very important not to touch the actual bulb, as the oil in the body will cause them to over heat and burn out faster . If you can't have the installer check the bulb again,, remove the retaining ring that holds them in place,, remove the bulb , and check it with a meter , check any wiring that leads to the socket to be sure its plugged in completely

Ac on my lincoln zephyr 2006 air is not cooling.

Hi Nickolas, Im glad to help! When an A/C system is cycling more then usual it generally means it is low on Freon or you have a cycling switch problem. Call me Al 314-374-5218. The A/C system only needs to see a pressure of around 75 PSI to turn on the compressor but that's not enough to cool the vehicle. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Nickolas.
