2000 Hyundai Elantra - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My daughter has a hyundi lantra 2000 or 2001.
if it's a 2001 my info doesn't show the 2001 Elantra GTS as coming with an alarm. GT does have keyless/alarm. Are you sure its not just a keyless entry system? Test it by doing the following: Close all doors and sit in car, 'arm' the alarm with the remote, wait about a minute and open the door from the inside...if the horn starts beeping you have an alarm. If nothing happens, you only have keyless entry.
Anyway disarming a ETACS alarm system is not a option.

IDLE PROBLEM
Look at your air intake on the motor: as the pedal is pushed you'll see the apparatus and a screw that controls how far back the pedal goes when it's not being pushed. The easiest way is to see the idle adjusted and more fixes for the idle problems are available on YouTube and through a Google search.

Hi , lantra wont start. is cranking no spark or
Mostly the sensors are a coil of wire and a magnet and either the flywheel or crank acts as a reluctor causing the sensor to provide an output if it is passive or to provide a varying output if the circuit is active.
There are semiconductor devices that will perform a similar function.
Cranking the engine will prove nothing unless you have an oscilloscope.
Fault finding specifications should provide information about ohm meter readings and which pins and the supply voltage (if any).
I strongly suggest you first ensure the vehicle immobiliser is disarmed...

Fuel volume control circuit
There are several possible causes for this symptom. Your regulator is integrated to the fuel pump inside the fuel tank. Unless the problem is in the wiring, the pump will probably need replacing. A mechanic can check the wiring for you or you can check yourself with an ohmmeter.

Cruise control, speedometer and odometer don't work
Take it to advance auto have them hook up analyzer to check for fault codes and go from there---you may have an ECM issue or short/loose wire somewhere and/or have you changed anything electrically--if not match to system---will drive ECM nuts--exe some radios are part of the functioning ECM and if these are replaced with after market or unmatched factory issue---problems will arise
