2001 hyundai tiburon has poor acceloration to the point were it as no acceloration
Sounds like a clogged exhaust converter,unless theproblem just started & got worse over the last two weeksA completely dirty gas filter, would seen unlikely, as over theyears, repair shops change gas fiters,ignition wires & all sortsof things, over & over just to sell something you don't needA complete failure of almost every ignition coil all at on time,which I experienced last sept,or a failed ignition module if youhave thatThat leave you checking fuel pressure with a gauge attachedon a road trip & a scan tool would be nice also,to look a pressure & fuel trimYou need to test the TPS Sensor as wellI away I hope these issues are not the result of just neglectedpreventative maintenance on your partOnly my opinion but that is 80% of all vehicle issuesDrive it till it breaks,so to speak
I'm trying to locate my starter, but am not 100%
The starter is on the backside of the engine between the firewall and engine. If you get underneath it look up from the passenger side of the support that goes front to back and you should see it there. There are 2 bolts if i remember right one threads into the starter itself and the other has a nut behind the solenoid if I rmember right

You can try disconnecting the battery for a minute then driving about 15-20 miles on the highway while trying to stay at about 55. This will often rebalance the sensors in the emissions system. Note: you must drive the minimum distance required by your ECU, or you'll fail inspection automatically due to lack of adequate feedback from your your OBD.
