There is a code of p1614
did they fix the
range switchor replace the
range switch? that code is coming from your
range switch. i got that code when i had my park/neutralswitch jumped so the ecu thought the car was in park or neutral all the time. my guess is the rotary switch on the transmission that the gear lever cableis hooked to is shorting causing the ecu to think the car is always out of gear even when you're driving. do you have cruise control? if you do, try to use it while your driving and see if it'll let the cruise control work. if it doesn't let the cruise control work i would have whoever worked on thetransmission range switchtry to fix it again because they either didn't replace it and said they did or they messed up a wire somewhere. i'm willing to bet that's where your problem is.

My main relay makes a buzzing sound with the ignition switch in the off position
on a replay there are 2 particular connections that cause that. When you look for numbers on that relay you will find the numbers 30, 85, 86, 87 and 87a. The problem is their is power going to 85 or 86 (they are the 2 control terminals that control the relay). that should not be. basically 87a allows power to go through the relay when the system is shut OFF, Terminal 87 is the path of power that turns on whatever is connected to it. Now... 85 and 86... one of them is ground... the other power. Typically 85 is ground and 86 power. Now to better explain what is going wrong. you have a connection that feeds power to 87a. that power is powering 87 which powers 86. when power is turned on at 87... it turns on 86... that causes the relay to pick up an break the connection of power to 87a while at a fraction of a second later making the contact to 87. So... the path of power is turning the relay on and off all by itself, LOL. I know this is confusing, sorry. But I hope it helps

Lacks power
sounds like wrong firing order of the cylinders. If you have the 4 cylinder engine the firing order is 1-3-4-2. Number 1 is the end of the engine the belts are on

I am having trouble bleeding the brakes.i just
Hi to bleed the brakes you need to do the following.
1 make sure fluid is topped up all the way
2, then start with one brake and undo the bleed screw use a container to catch any fluid that will come out, now with the bleed screw undone get someone to push the brake pedal down to the floor and hold it on the floor.
3 do bleed screw back up then get the person to pull the brake pedal back up it may be stiff but if you get your foot under you should be able to do it.
4 then once pedal is up undo bleed screw,
5 push pedal down
6 do bleed screw back up
7 pull pedal up
keep repeating that until all the air has stopped coming out, but make sure you keep an eye on the fluid level dont let it get low as you will have to bleed the whole system again
make sure you do the bleed screw up before pulling the brake pedal back up if you dont you will just be sucking air back into the system.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

2002 Kia Sportage 4x4 cram shaft sensor
Have the same problem in our 2002 Spectra. The bad news we received was that in 2002 Kia put some not so good engine blocks in that allowed the crank keeper key to "hog-out" it's slot. This allows the crank to shift a little in timing, which makes cam sensor error and make check engine light come on. Even with a new sensor, it will happen. Our mechanic's best advise was to drive it, local only, until it finally gives way, then find used engine, either newer or older. The only year it would appear to affect is 2002. If your mechanic tears the engine down as though changing timing belt, he or she should be able to see if this is the case.

The vehicle check engine light is on 2002
My friend, raw gas - fuel vapors. Do you know that one gallon of gas will push a 4,000# block of steel about 20 miles?
Please have your Kia dealer investigate and repair this discrepancy for you.

ENGINE CHECK LIGHT ON
If the vehicle is running ok then u must have a problem with the emissions . U will be req to plug your vehicle into a fault code reader to determine the fault usually it is a oxygen sensor which is located b4 and after the catalyst
