2002 Kia Sportage - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My kia sportage diesel is puffing blue smoke.
Nothing to fix friend. See, in diesel, when cold, there is an electric plunger on the throttle that speeds the idle a bit till warm up. Connected to that same wire is the cold start/temperature sensor. When cold/cool this sensor will excite the plunger to speed the idle, and put more fuel into the engine making the smoke you see, until warm up is reached and the sensor shuts down. You really don't have a repair needed friend.

Kia sportage 2.0 4x2 revving problem
take it to an accredited service center that has experience on your vehicle as it is not brand new as it is 8 years old and items like the MAF/VAF sensor could be slow to respond and signal a air flow change to the ECM
the thing is that it is to be fix or adjust so that the rpm change is in response to the pedal setting
Could be a slow reaction throttle position sensor or a problem pedal position sensor
have the fault codes read at the service center to get a closer idea as to the fault area
I don't think that a delay would be on the injectors as stated as it would created a dangerous drive situation in the event of hard braking as the engine would still be producing power against the brakes and that would stop the ABS from being effective

bleed the air out of the cooling system by loosening off the highest point hose
have a compression test done to check for head gasket or cracked head
take it to an accredited radiator specialist and have a flow test done on the radiator
