Gas Gauge Failure
Car ONE:
Intake valve seals is a black / blue smoke at start up then it clears up, if that is the.
Leaking injectors is not so black but also clears up fast, hard for me to tell from hear... Sorry...
Car TWO:
This car should never run at 500 rpm you will have thrust washer damage in the engine as a result, Idle it up to about 750 RPM.
You have more electrical problems than that, The Test is to use a volt meter with head lights on and engine running do a voltage test between the neg on the battery and the body, if you get any reading you are missing the Frame ground strap.
Add one from the NEG post of the battery to the body, this should clear up the Ghost electrical problems.
Hope this tip helps.

When applying brakes pedal get hard and car dosent
check your brake fluid in your car frequently. it is located under the hood on the right hand side. if it is low you have a leak in a brake line somewhere underneath the car. you may need to bleed the brakes. there are bleeders on all four wheels you must have someone applying pressure on the pedal when turning the bleeder to let all the air out of the lines. replace brake fluid after bleeding the brakes.
Is there any ford car like a tbird or something
I can tell you that we had problems with the1988 suspension bags and used Crown Vic airride parts instead. A dealer can tell you because they have a book called the "OSI" which stands for Obsolete. Superceded, and Interchangeable. The prefix on all Ford parts, Lincoln, and Mercurys designates the make, year, and model-but the next numbers are considered BASE numbers for the part type.
There are many good parts in Salvage yards. Also a true spring shop could help you because you need to consider the weight of the vehicle, ride height, etc. You might try the internet for listings under some type of conversion kit for the airride to spring setup.
With some luck you may be able to find an Autozone or Oreillys with a scanner for the suspension plug. It could be a sensor bad that aftermarket parts carry. Those 2 auto parts places scan for free if they have an air suspension scanner and you can always get Salvage parts to replace what they find.
Abs brake light on
actually you may not need to replace any parts. from what you are explaining on the vehicle you have a air lock in your brake lines. try and bleed the brakes again starting from the rear passenger than the drivers passenger than the passengers front and last the drivers front. than disconnect the negative battery cable for about 5 min to reset the lights and see what happens. please let me know if you need more assistance with this problem.
please do not forget to rate and comment about your expereince with fixya today.
HARD BRAKE PEDAL
Hi there,
There is a vacuum attachment on the power brake booster. If there is a vacuum leak this part could be causing the brakes to be hard.
First of all, remove and check the EGR valve - see if its gummed up and clean it if so - and check too , to see if the end is blanked off with a circular plate - it should be - if there is a hole then the end plate has come off and will need extracting from somewhere in the inlet manifold...and a new EGR valve fitted.
Post further comments for more help.....
Good Luck!!
Thanks

I have a 1990 Lincoln Mark VII, the air ride was
after replacing the air system on your Mark, you should have turned the switch off in the trunk and left the air pump intact.....that way the system does not know that anything has been done....you can then just remove the bags and tape off the lines.....basically it does not know when to air up bacause of no pressure changes....all of the electronics on the mark vii are tied togather in the wiring harness and the best thing to do is nothing...plug everything back up correctly and try to turn off the airbag system in the trunk and see if that helps..
Is a computer needed to bleed brake system?
bleed the brakes the easy way is to have two peoples one to pump the brake pedal and the other one is to open the bleeder use the driver side front wheel it close to the master cylinder and you could get a brake bleeder and do it by yourself.
