1995 porsche 911 convertible top will not latch

it can be the alignment problem the do go like this over time, the bolts on the motor housing and fixing bolts will need to be closed and the the roof latched inplace and then tighten the bolts down again, you can change the washers on the bolts to the spiked type and these will stop movment better. types-of-washer-external-tooth-lock-washers-v3m3v51i33m4hqmvscjwnkwd-1-0.jpg

Oil overfilling

It should be fine, but adjust the level as soon as you can, using a pump around the inspection stick or just take it to the mech. Overfilling might cause the crankshaft to come in contact with the oil, mixing it with air like a big blender. This can cause the oil pump to not be able to pump the air-mixed oil, causing low oil pressure and problems related to this. As long as you did not get a low oil pressure warning it should be fine, but get it sorted out. Good luck :)

A dummy llight came on

based on the fact of having that happen on a 93 european car i had .......i'd say in all likely hood it's an indicator giving you a heads up that it is time to replace brake pads ( front more than likely because they do most of the work and they wear out sooner than the rear ones) and it's not really a dummy light, it has a sensor that turns on the light at a point of certain wear just like it's supposed to so you have some time to set up pad replacement, the rear ones probably have what is known as a chirpper on them which is a piece of metal that chirps, squeals, or make noise at that certain wear point so you wont get down to metal on metal and scar the rotors !! OK

Oil leak left& right side

Hello there
The best to start looking on your oil leaks is to take off the protection panel under the engine and see where is the oil comming from.Once you have the cover off (to take off you need philips screwdriver)
you should go yo car wash and clean the bottom of the engine.
Then go for a 20 min drive and look if you see anything. It could just be that you need service and your valve covers gaskets are leeking.
But first thing first-wash the engine and look.

Most of the time the power door locks on my 1995

not sure here ,ok to be honest i dont know but the first thing i would do is to remove the door panels and give all the linkage a good oil with a oil can with engine oil in it ,where the solonoid is that operates the door lock for the central locking i would make sure the operating rod coming out of it got plenty and if i can get to it i would pull the rubber dust cover up and try to get some oil in their as well ,Now i dont know if this would work but it works on the VW golf and polos i work on and the porsche uses parts common to these cars

95 911 wing is stuck

Hello there
Your problem could be the rear gear is broken. It is located on the left inside your tail under the plastic cover. To remove use phillips screwdriver and try to diconect the gear cable. If the wing goes down it is the gear.If not the gear try to lok for an relay which is on pass.side under the dash-behing knee pad. This relay controls the manual and an electric operation.
Part number 964 618 212 00
