1996 land rover not clicking wont trn over
The problem is causes by the heavy copper contacts inside the starter solenoid being burnt from wear and arching. Replace the starter solenoid or if the truck has high mileage replace the whole starter as the starter solenoid is part of the starter. Use a quality rebuilt, avoid using cheaper discount parts store no name rebuilds, yes they are cheaper but the quality is poor. Factory rebuilds are the best as well as brands like BOSCH, AC Delco and A1 Cardone. You can save on the parts for this car at my favorite personnel parts site, it is the best I've found for quality and price. Go to

Changing 94 land rover fuel pump
When i shut off my 94 Landrover Discovery, somethig is still running in the engine. Sounds like a low vavuum or something, but no fan blabes are moving. It makes that sound until the battery is drained. Do you know what it is and how to fix it?
Engine starts but no idling needs to step gas
some cases . if engine lose vacum need more gasoline inside to start and reach the too mach air gose inside in this case you have to check all hoses from intake manufold (maybe crack or loose or remove out , one line gose to brake difram this have valve (one direction valve ) this one effect direct to brake (hard to press). the anther case maybe disconnect idle nosil socket or loose .check wire lom gose to throtell valve .
Can't get out of park.
There is a brake safety interlock to ensure your foot is on the brake before you can put it into gear. If it isn't working properly, you wont be able to take it out of park.
How to open the engine
Hi
In order to open the hood in this situation, you will need to manually open the hood locking mechanism.Things you will need:-
8 gauge aluminum wire, Jack, 2 jack stands, Pliers, an assistance.
Through the Grill
Look through the grill and locate the hood locking mechanism. It will be in the middle of the car, directly under the front of the hood.
Bend the end of the aluminum wire around to create a loop, then tie a knot so that the loop does not come loose.
Slide the wire through the grill and get the loop around the hook of the hood locking mechanism.
Pull the wire in the opposite direction of the hook while depressing the hood. This will give the hook some slack and make it easier to pull open.
Pull up on the hood to open it, still applying tension to the wire.
From Underneath the Car
Jack up the car and secure it in place with two jack stands.
Slide underneath the car; position yourself in such a way that you are in the center of the car and you can put your hands behind the radiator.
Reach up to the hood latch with the pair of pliers and find the hook of the hood locking mechanism.
Pull the hook away from the hood latch with the pliers.
Have a friend lift up the hood while you continue pulling on the hook with your pliers.

Oil leak from oil filter housing
Hello,
- First check and make sure the filter is not lose.
- You might want to pull the oil filter and check to see if the gasket has spit or if more than one was accidentally put on during the last oil change,
- Should that check out there then, with the oil filter off, take and try to rotate the housing itself a bit. Just see if there is some movement. If there is then there is a nut that you can tighten up. It the nut will be on the same bolt shaft that the oil filter screws onto. Sometimes when taking off a really stuck filter the housing can come loose.
- There are also two hoses attached to the oil filter housing. Make sure they have not ruptured or that the clap has not failed.
A ton of pressure goes through the oil filter housing. You don't want to drive the vehicle until this is fixed because all your oil can leak out rather quick and seize your engine.
Regards,
Tony
