The lights on my dash board flicker on and off then turn off.
I had the same problem some time ago, lights would go on and off, odometer appeared to stop counting at times rpm gauge would work and then not... power steering would off and on work and head lights would blink on and off when in driving light mode (off position).. The fix for me was I had to have the dash computer replaced (about $500). After doing this around 50k miles ago all the gremlins seem to have remained gone.. Hope this helps

Saturn?? sorry iam in spain never seen one but i do know these cars are a GM product and i do beleave that they are basicaly a opel astra and if this is correct then the brake light and ABS shouldnt stop the car from starting .Think you have another problem but what i cannot tell you without my greasy hands under the engine so i would advise you ask a local mechanic .Sorry i dont know everything
How to replace serpentine belt on SAturn Vue
On the 4cly 2.2 engine you DO NOT need to remove the engine mount. If you remove the right front wheel, there is an access panel held in place by plastic push pins. If you remove this panel, it is very easy to remove the belt by attaching a serpentine belt removal tool to the 3/8" drive hole in the tensioner arm.
