2002 porsche 996 sunroof repair/replacement
The assembly needs to be removed from the inside and taken out one of the doors. It is a cassette style with limited replacement parts. A great manual for this repair is indeed advised! There are too many procedures to cover in this forum. It is time consuming but not difficult.
A used assembly from a salvage yard is a great way to go, if it has low miles/use.
Closed loop fuel shut down
I thinking you're right. The ECU controls everything concerning the Engine. I had to replace mine in my 1985 B944. They aren't cheap!
Cost approx. $500.00! But... I would check with your local Porsche dealer/mechanic before replacing it! Also... if the fuel injectors are clogged, or the fuel pump is bad... you may get the same problem.
993 fuel small
check fuel tank connections and connections at the fuel pump, also check the fuel filters in the engine bay and all fuel lines there.
Spoiler
depending on the type there is a motor or magnetic pin system. motors can fail and the magnetic pin type well they can rust up or even the grease in them can freeze up and stop movement. also on some models there is a auto mode this will activate the spoiler at certain speeds. these are prone for failure, for some reason they stop reading the speedo , then in auto or in manual it will not work. also in cold weather you should have it turn'd off... this is recommended from porsche something about only use in above temps of 6.0c 42.8F is minimum low temp. the temp sensor on some turn off the spoiler controls at this speed or a faulty temp sensor not reading the right temp will do this.
