No power to fuel pump or pump fuse on a 1996 saturn sl1. whats up?
The fuel pump fuse gets its power from the fuel pump relay, which is located in the Instrument Panel Junction Block. The fuel pump relay gets its ground from G102, which is located just forward of the left strut tower. The fuel pump relay gets its power from the Powertrain Control Module Connector "C" Pin 10 ( DARK GREEN/ WHITE wire) for the primary side of the relay. The sencondary side (the side that provides power to the fuel pump fuse) of the fuel pump relay gets its power from the IP BATT Fuse (30 Amp) HOT AT ALL TIMES in the underhood fuse block. This should be enough information to figure out why your fuel pump is not getting power. Let me know what you find.

OK. ONLY TWO POSSIBLE THINGS WOULD DO THAT ONE IS A/C FREON FROM THE EVAPORATOR CORE , THE OTHER IS ENGINE COOLANT LEAK FROM HEATER CORE. BOTH ARE EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR. THE BEST I CAN DO IS TO HELP YOU DIAGNOSE THE SOURCE, SO IF YOU CAN SMELL IT, THEN I WILL ASK YOU TO TASTE IT. TASTE WITH YOUR PALETTE, WHEN YOU CAN PICK UP THE SMELL, THEN SLOWLY DRAW SOME AIR THROUGH YOUR MOUTH, AND I MEAN SLOWLY. IF THE TASTE IS SWEET TO YOU THEN IT IS ENGINE COOLANT. IF IT IS PUNGY OR IRRITANT, THEN IT IS FREON. GOOD LUCK AND PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND.
I have a 2000 SL1
Try turning the steering wheel to the lock position, in either direction, while you try to turn the key. This is a common issue. There is torque from the steering wheel column that is binding the lock cylinder.
