R&r slave cylnder .trans.will not

Try the slave cylinder. That would cause the shifter to not shift into gear. This is probably the cause. If you need anything else, write me back. I am here to help in any way possible. Thank you for choosing FixYa.

How to adjust a tension

This vehicle should have an automatic tensioner. You can use a wrench (13mm, 14mm, or 15mm depending on whether it's aftermarket or not) and rotate the pulley bolt clockwise to release tension. If you need to make it tighter, you either has a belt that is in need of replacement or a tensioner that needs to be replaced. This type of automatic tensioner is replaced as an assembly

The tensioner bolt can usually be accessed from above, but it is easier if you can lift the passenger front or the can, remove the wheel, and remove the rear plastic splash shield. This will also make it easier to correctly position a new belt over the crank pulley if necessary.

How do i replace my Serpentine Belt Tensioner in

do a search on youtube, there are many videos there. basically you are going to have to release tension, open the service door behind the right front tire and remove two bolts and replace in reverse manner. again there are lots of videos of this on youtube. while you are doing it put in a new belt. the right side dogbone engine mount will be in front of you, replace that while you are at it unless you have already changed it.

Bad heater core

If it is necessary to remove the heater assembly, the cooling system must be drained before removing the heater core.
When a heater core leaks, a new heater core is installed or the old one repaired.
Heater Housing
  • The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core.
  • Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It threfore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.
f74-01.gif The heater housing is disassembled to get to the heater core. Heater Core
  • Remove the access panels(s) or the split heater/air conditioning case to gain acess to the heater core.
  • Remove the heater coolant hoses.
  • Remove the cable and/or vacuum control lines (if equipped).
  • Remove the heater core securing brackets and/or clamps.
  • Lift the core from the case. Do not use force. Take care not to damage the fins of the heater core when removing.
  • To reinstall the heater core, reverse the removal steps.
When the heater core leaks and must be repaired or replaced, it is a very difficult and time-consuming job primarily because of the core's location deep within the firewall of the car. For this reason always leak test a replacement heater core before installation.

Wondering if water pump is

Unless your water pump is electric, it would have to be on the front of the engine and would have a pulley on it that is driven by the serpentine belt.

How do you take out a dimmer switch on a 1995

the dimmer switch is in the multifunction switch, mounted in the column under the steering wheel. you need a special set of tools to get the wheel off, and to deal with the airbag in the steering wheel. get a repair manual, it most likely is going to cost what the car is worth to buy and replace the switch.

When i start car it idles rough?

If you have not had a tuneup in awhile that is probably your problem. If you have it could be a fuel filter situation are it could be fuel injectors are bad. When a car has a idling problem it could be a lot of different things so you have to do a process of elimination or get it on a machine.Sometimes you are better off starting with the inexpensive things first if they have not been changed in awhile like fuel filter air filters and tune up .

Oil coming from main pulley

Then a mechanical person must replace that seal, no magical fixes for leaking seals. You can buy some goop off the shelf at Advance which says it will fix leaking seals, but if anything it will just slow it down and stop something else up. You might want to look around for a motor from a 95 saturn SC1, SL1, or SW1 which has much lower mileage and think about swapping that engine in. A junkyard can tell you exactly what engines will fit. There are many used engine vendors on ebay.
