Hi, I just got a remote starter installed by the dealer. What I have noticed and which somehow doesn't seem right is the following:
1) Locking the doors doesn't activate the kill switch which was functional with the original key fob.
2) When holding the "aux" button to open the truck, it 1st unlocks all the doors before releasing the trunk. This is not the case with the original fob.
3) No lights (parking or head lights) turn on when car is remotely started, or when doors are locked or unlocked. This doesn't seem normal to me.
4) With original key fob, I was able to leave the headlights on, and locking the doors would turn off the lights. This no longer happens.
What I have also noticed is that if I use the original key fob to lock the doors, the kill switch is activated and if I then use the remote starter to open the doors, it sets of the original alarm.
I get the feeling corners were cut during the install and that the wiring wasn't done properly. The only reason I had this done at the dealer is due to nervousness about warrently issues.
Before I soundoff at the dealer, could someone help us understatnd if this is normal behavior for the remote starter to function this way, or should the new remote work the same as the original key fob?
Thanx in advance for any info that can help me understand what I am dealing with here.
1) remote starter was not hooked up to the factory arm wire
2) trunk release was programmed to disarm factory alarm before popping trunk
3)parking light wire on remote starter was not hooked up
4)disarm wire from remote starter was not hooded up
5)this is not normal and they should fix the problem or have it done by some one else and have them pay for it, how much did they charge,
Bring it over I'll fix it right and not charge overpriced amount

Code P0320 on 2005 Hyundai Sonata. How to make sure it is the sensor ignition misfire causing the problem? Could it be something else?
first and foremost check your spark plugs if it has'nt been done in a while. next, check your wires if any or your coil packs for wear or corrosion.

2005 Hyundai Sonata airbag light just came on as I was driving along. Turned engine off and back on and the light was still on. Dealership wants $80.00 to diagnois. Is there a recall or does anyone know how to fix this problem
My airbag light stays on too. It could be a code you could just clear. The Sonata has several airbags. It could be a non working seat airbag, or even a thrown off senser (which is common in this car)! I dont think its worth 80 dollars to fix at the dealership. Go to auto parts store and get it checked.

both headlights stopped working on my 2005 santa fe highbeams work fine where do i begin troubleshooting problems?
First check the 15 amp H/LP (LOW) fuse in the engine compartment relay box. If good, try switching the high beam relay (same box as the fuse) with the low beam relay. If that gets your low beams to work, you need a relay. Please let me know if this doesn't work or if you have any questions.

I have a 2005 Hyundai Sonata and it will not start. i disconnected the fuel line and tested--fuel pump is good. I have power to the coils, but no power coming out of the coils. is it possible all the coils failed at once? There looks to be a little relay below the coils, could this be the problem? The car turns over fine--and once in a while it will start for a short bit then dies. I am very confused!!!
CHECK THE IGNITION MODULE BELOW THE COIL PACK.

I have Code P0733 gear 3 ratio incorrect and P0700. It was running good last week. Then my engine light came on when my power started to decline. My car still starts, but it was running maximum no more than 25 mph hour the other day. I have a Hyandai Sonata 2005 v6 sedan. Tomorrow I am going to start calling shops. I kind of want to know where I am at before I call. Thank you for your time.
Hello there , I'm not sure about Sonatas , if you have changed your battery or disconnected it , some vehicles like Fords around the 2000 year mark need to be calibrated , this may be achieved by turning your ignition on putting your tran in drive with your foot flat on the peddle and hold for 3 minutes and then turn ignition off and then back on with the car in park and no peddle , do not start car to do this just ignition on ! Good luck all so it may be cheaper to buy a work shop manual rather than taking your car to a work. Shop , best is - Haynes Work Shop Manual - Regards Graham ...

I've tryed everything ignition off, on, car started, etc. Scanner will scroll thru the various protocols & I get "unable to establish a link with the vehicle. The car also has a 10 pin "multi-purpose check connector located next to the 16 pin data link connector.
I HAVE ONE AND IT WORKS GOOD ON MY 2000 HYUNDAI XG300
