Hyundai Motor 1997 Tiburon - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Manual transaxle is stuck in gear
Sounds like it has to be taken apart and put back by a professional mechanic who knows about transmissions..I used to have a Ford Ranger and I had always checked at times the gear oil in the rear axle/gear box and I never did have any grinding. If you try to pop it out of gear, it's possible more damage could happen to gearing...it might be something simple as a clip, but still may have to take apart...good luck...
Pontiac grand am sunroof won't close
all electric sunroofs have a manual close .remove the cover at the headlining should be two screws . then turn the center slot with a large flat head screwdriver to close it.check the fuse first. if ok do the above . the trouble is a failed motor .
While idling the car jumps
While it is idling do you have your heater on or defrost on? If so the compressor will kick on making the car move some and the idle to increase because it is under load from the compressor kicking on. This is normal Hope this helps

The
following are the general instructions on the start of diagnosing any
electronically controlled engine or transmission problem.
The
engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is only
for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter the
transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in
most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory
of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as
the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done
is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system
for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for
engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained
technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then
based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the
correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer
replaced (known as the PCM), which is very rarely the problem. Other
basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with
the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine.
The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear
engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related
problems.
Wont go into gear
Did any fluid come out? It has to have fluid reach the slave cylinder, and when bleed valve is open and clutch is pressed, fluid should squirt out. Open the valve and pump the clutch until fluid is forced down into the slave cylinder. Keep topping up the clutch master cylinder so it won't run dry.
Post back if still having problems. There is a tool at auto parts stores for pressure bleeding brake lines and clutch lines. It forces fluid into the lines by pressure. If nothing works, your clutch master cylinder may have failed. Take the line off at the slave cylinder and see if the master cylinder is working to push fluid through the line.
I need the torque pressure

22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm), plus 60°-65°, plus 60°-65°. Tighten M12 bolts to
26 ft. lbs. (35 Nm), plus 60°-65°, plus 60°-65°.
1.5L (VIN E), 1.5L (VIN J) and 1.5L (VIN K) engines-51-54 ft. lbs. (71-75 Nm).

97 tiburon sunroof seal is unglue
Auto parts store, Weather strip adhesive. Make sure clean surface very well. Wipe down with enamel paint thinner (small amount), let dry. Apply adhesive sparingly, very messy if you use to much. Put seal in place and if you can, close your sunroof to hold in place while drying. Let set for a couple of hours and that should do it. P.S. the glue comes in yellow or black.
Transmision wont go in R 2 4 but 1&3 is fine
Do you have a check engine light? If so,get it checked out. (Free at most major auto parts stores). It sounds like it's in limp home mode. The manufacturers made the electronics so that you could still get it home if any of the electronics failed. Sounds like your shift solenoids have failed you, but it's anyone's guess until you get the thing scanned. No one on here can give you a definate answer until that happens. Find out what codes it's showing and then get back on here with them. I took the time to answer, now please take the time to rate my answer.
