16 years old car,what you have done to keep car running ,needs a lot of things,one problem or many!!!,tune up,fuel filter,air filter,dirty throttle body,bad sensors,

all fuses good ?is it an auto or standard ?do you have a test light to see if there is power going back there if its an auto maybe a safety neutral switch if its a standard maybe the eswitch on the gear box

have someone step on the brake pedal, then loosen the bleeding nipple at the back of the front driver wheel.

inside the fuel tank ,gauze filter on bottom of pump if it runs ok leave well alone

is there a valet timer on the mirror

do you have any strong smell coming out of the exhaust end like gun powder? if you do so possible you have either broken or blogged catalyst. The other possible fault is most common the vacuum leak.

as you select reverse with the shifter the engine winds up but no reverse?yes or not?

Could be a weak head gasket. White smoke is usually coolant burning.

The camshaft position sensor is located on the engine near the timing belt cover and under the upper radiator hose.

I don't think your car has one. At least I don't list one in the parts book. Most models have a blend door that controls air flowing thru the core. Low coolant in the radiator can cause no heat also.

Not sure what indicators you are talking about. Is it the turn signals?
