Why doesn't my cooling fan come on
It could be that the fan bearings have failed causing the motor to seize up--try spinning the blades by hand, they should turn easily and coast to a stop when spun. Check the fan fuse and relay, if ok, the engine temperature sensor may be defective and not telling the computer to turn on the fan. Hope this helps.
Where is the problem with
you'll love this one, its your blend door motor and its located below the dash pad. have fun disassmbling your Insterment panel 7+ hrs
My car is a 1990
Dont make this a big deal ... take off the malfunctioning device and take it to the Auto Parts store. They will get yo what you need. You have to go there anyway ... Simple.
Brakelights wont turn on
It could be 1 of 3 things.
1. bulbs burnt out
2. Fuse fried
3. Rear end lights wire harness has gone bad.
I need to replace a water pump
good news / bad news
the good news is its a pretty simple job
the bad news is that some of the bolts have a tendancy to break making and easy job a pain in the ****
if you cannot find a shop that will do the job for less than $200 then seek out a high school or college that has an automotive program
most are always looking for work and "IF" they charge anything its CHEAP!!!

Front should be around $15. to $30 and the rear the same on parts. Labor around $40 each. But other parts may be more rotors, Drums Spring kits. Some times rotors & drums can be turned & sometime replaced.
Wont start
Check the fuel pump enertia switch. I believe it's located in the trunk.
Car turns over, but won't start.
just strip about 1'2 inch insulation from each end of the break and tightly twist tham back together....clean the wire first, wrap the fixed wire generously with electrical tape...hope this does the trick
My heater valve cracked
you will have to replace
the heater core if you are confirmed the heater valve is cracked.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.2. Drain the cooling system and disconnect the heater hoses from the
heater core tubes. Plug the hoses and the heater core tubes to prevent coolant
leakage.3. Remove the 3 nuts located below the windshield wiper motor
attaching the left end of the plenum to the dash panel. Remove the 1 nut
retaining the upper left corner of the evaporator case to the dash panel.4. Disconnect the vacuum supply hose(s) from the vacuum source. Push
the grommet and vacuum supply hose(s) into the passenger compartment.5. Remove the right and left lower instrument panel insulators.6. On 1990-00 vehicles:
1.
Remove the cross body brace and
disconnect the wiring harness from the temperature blend door actuator.
2.
Disconnect the ATC sensor tube from the
evaporator case connector.
7. Disconnect the vacuum jumper harness at the multiple vacuum
connector near the floor air distribution duct. Disconnect the white vacuum
hose from the outside-recirculating door vacuum motor.8. Remove the 2 hush panels.9. Remove 1 plastic push fastener retaining the floor air
distribution duct to the left end of the plenum. Remove the left screw and
loosen the right screw on the rear face of the plenum and remove the floor air
distribution duct.10. Remove the 2 nuts from the 2 studs along the lower flange of the
plenum.11. Carefully move the plenum rearward to allow the heater core tubes
and the stud at the top of the plenum to clear the holes in the dash panel.
Remove the plenum from the vehicle by rotating the top of the plenum forward,
down and out from under the instrument panel. Carefully pull the lower edge of
the instrument panel rearward, as necessary, while rolling the plenum from
behind the instrument panel.12. Remove the 4 retaining screws from the heater core cover and
remove the cover from the plenum assembly. Pull the heater core and seal
assembly from the plenum assembly.
Battery is new. I turn the key and nothing comes
take the battery in to have it tested it may be defective. if the battery tests ok your alternator isn't charging. if you have a volt meter , your battery voltage should be no lower than 12.5 volts dc and with the motor running you should see no lower than 13.5 volts dc with everything turned on (lights, ac on fan on high) if the voltage drops below that your alternator is bad.
Cant open gas door
you must use a pice of plastic to pop it open then bend the latch catch on the door to get it right. may have to bend it a time or two.
