2002 Daewoo Nubira Does someone have the wiring schematics or help guide for this vehicle? Please has anyone had this similar experience that may have answers for us?
I haven't had any contact on this car, but let me give you a little story I ran into a while back: I rebuilt an entire engine, resealed the trans, ran all new hand-bent lines, new hoses, etc. but it gets interesting here because my alternator light came on on the first start. I took it back to my re builder, (I rebuild all my starters and alternators when rebuilding an engine). He checked it out-OK. Put it back in- No Dice. Took it back again, same result. In my rip-down, I pulled all kinds of wires, connectors, etc. (and I ALWAYS take photos, mark them all AND take photos). In my haste to put everything BACK TOGETHER, I missed one plug on the back side of the bumper brace that monitors the ambient air temperature at the front of the car and compares it through the computer to the temp of the battery. If the differences are too great, it shuts down the circuit to recharge the battery and makes it appear the alternator is malfunctioning. I plugged it in and VIOLA! a home run. My suggestion, go back trough the wires you touched. Look for unplugged or loose connections, burnt terminals, FUSE LINES. (Check fusible links with a continuity tester). If you take this to a mechanic, expect to put out a wad of cash because troubleshooting electrical is expensive ESPECIALLY since you may have fried something (potentially). I also fixed a 1969 Roadrunner where the guy was pulling his hair out because it would not start (click-click) The Alternator connection at the ammeter was loose. Simple fix; knowing where to look: Priceless! Good luck and BE THOROUGH.
