I have an 88 VDP.

Not sure the car can pass nox without egr. Why did you bring it to CA? A draw on the battery would not affect the smog test. What you would need to do is buy the intake and exhaust manifolds with egr ports and also the computer and wiring harness that will make the egr system work. Not worth the effort unless you are in love with this car.

Where is headlight flash relay located?

Hello Howard Gillespie, Under hood, driver side, front side of strut tower, mounted on fender-well... or Under the windshield washer bottle... little further forward... ~~ Just a thought ... but if you see battery on those leads... Lets remember to check those grounds... (green wire) I have the scars to prove the old saying... "Lucas ... Prince of DARKNESS!" There is an OUSTANDING Jaguar forum... at the bottom-most URL... and decent prices on new & used parts at CAPTAN JAGUAR... also sells on eBay and AMAZON. Good luck with your QUEST.
