Fuel failure not getting fuel
Jaguar has an inertial sensing fuel pump cut off relay. It is supposed to be behind one of the panels next to your feet, in the front seat. It has a rod that sticks out, that has to be depressed back in. But sometimes there is also a complex procedure you have to do with the ignition switch as well. The dealer will give you the details for free if you call them.

89 xj6 random hesitation problem under load
hi as you know this could be numerous things, i have had a look in my auto data information and what i have come up with is a couple of things you might need to try, air leaks,on air intake system and vacuum system what you can do is purchase a can of easy start, and run engine, on idle just go around the air pipes and vents to see if there is a leak, the engine will idle faster if found, also the fuel pressure delivery regulator, this will need to be checked obviously if you are not getting enough fuel or too much fuel this will cause hesitation with the vehicle..hope this helps
89 xj6 will not stay on 3.6 ltr- starts after
MAF. This would be common symptoms with a bad Mass air. Fuel pressure should be tested and verified first. 60-70 psi should be good. This system uses the lucas-bosch airflow controlled system and is a really good system but can be complex for people who are not familiar with it. If you testing procedures or diagrams, please let me know. These are also great cars.
Speedometer sticking
It could be a bad sensor or bad instrument cluster or wiring?? Hard to tell without more information
Driver side brake light works
Hello. Yes, they could be related. It sounds like the brake pedal switch needs to replaced. Your symptoms could also be caused by a weak ground. I recommend that you look in the local phone directory under autoelectric repair shops. These shops have all of the diagnostic equipment needed to quickly isolate your problem and repair it. Joe
Regarding my Jaguar XJ6 1989
it is most likely an aftermarket alarm and to turn it off you will need to unplug it. depending on the installer of the alarm it could be in a few different spots but is most likely to be with in hands reach of the steering column under the dash. you may have to remove a knee panel to gain access to it then once you find it all you will need to do is unplug it. you will notice it because it will look foreign under there and just not factory wiring. let me know if you have more question.
Is there any way to tow a jaguar other than using
You cannot tow it for any distance with the rear wheels on
the
ground; either suspend it by the rear wheels, flat bed
it or remove
the drive shaft..... the car has a sealed transmission and it would cause a lot of expensive damage with the wheels on the ground
