Car started fine and now doesn't. The battery seems to be fine (new). No error code. Any suggestions?

Try removing the Neg battery terminal for about 30sec. This will effectively (re-set) the main computer to default factory specs. It worked on my 2004!! Also might have an ODB2 code reader run by you local auto parts dealer. They can get the codes too. Have fun, -J

Removed bAttery from 2004 mini Cooper and accidentally closed the trunk where the battery go, how do I open the trunk when the key will not unlock the trunk

In the engine compartment you'll find a positive terminal you can use. Use jump cables to connect the positive and negative terminal of another car to this and some part well grounded in the engine compartment. After this your car got current from the other car and the trunk should now open. Brgds Jonas

2004 Mini Convertible - unable to renew interior light bulb.

Standard push/pull fit. You could get access to the bulb by prying off the cover using a plastic guitar pick on the side opposite the cutout. If you want easy access remove the two screws holding the base assembly to the headliner and the light will drop down. Disconnect the plug and take the light assembly inside and work on it in comfort while you have a beer.

It would be good to get a code reader and plug it in to the OBDII port located on the steering column about shin height. The code will show you the most likely fault be that the fuel pump or something else. The best code reader you can get is one from the US manufacturer Peake Model R5-emx. I have one and it works even on pre 2006 Mini coopers.

Drivers side window will not go completely airtight when up.drops and goes up when door opens and shuts, but not high enough to seal correctly

My 02 had this same problem, the glass has shifted position in the mechanism. You will need to take the inner door card off to get at the mechanism, lower the glass about half way then reach through the large opening in the door panel to feel for the large 'cog' shaped retaining bolts that hold the glass to the mechanism (one either side, both facing the outer door skin). A 5mm torx or allen key bit is required to loosen both 'cogs'. You can then adjust the glass position. This is possibly best done with two people...once the glass is loose, make sure you move the glass first to break the seal (it may have stuck to the rubber seal over time, so will not move much), then gently tighten into place, raise the window to the full up position, shut the door fully, then with the help of an assistant, one inside the car one outside, move the glass into the desired place and tighten the cogs. Open the door, fully lower and fully raise the glass, then keep the switch in the up position for 5 seconds, this teaches the ECU the new position. Check that the window closes when you open and close the door, if not, try adjusting the glass angle with the adjustment screws located at the very bottom of the door. When in the right position, you should just be able to pull a sheet of paper past the glass and the seal. Boom, done!
