Cooling system
Raise the car front end as high as possible with a floor jack, fill the coolant tank to the top, run the engine until it reaches just short of overheating, shut it down and run water over the radiator, this will burp the air out. Repeat as needed. Don't let the coolant recovery tank run dry during procedure.

2000 Jeep Cherokee 2WD, 4.0
Mike,
Sounds like it could be the connection of the shifting solenoid(s) in the transmission. The are attached to the shifting assembly in the tranny itself accessible once the pan is removed (and oil drained of course). These solenoids are on or off work or do not. they are powered electronically so a bad connection could be a culprit, however it is not uncommon for a wire to become disconnected and then burn the terminals off them.. not a big deal for a backyard mechanic, as long as you plan the oil could make it messy...
Best regards
Ck

perform a pressure test on the cooling system,it will tell you if you have a engine overheating problem.
also look at your oil and see if you have water in your oil,test your exhaust pipe for signs of antifreez coming out of the engine.

Jeep '99 Mist from AC vents?
It would seem that your a/c is working very well. You most likely live in an area that is high in humidity. When the cold air from your a/c hits the moisture saturated air from the environment it turns the moisture to fog "condensation" . That is most likely your mist. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Trouble with the 99 Cherokee Sport
I have had a similar problem with mine, also 99 Sport. Cycling the window lock switch seems to cure it each time it does this, when it won't work hit the window lock switch then try it then hit it again. Takes a couple tries sometimes. Some kind of stupid glitch somewhere like the one that locks the stupid doors when the key is on.

Lost inigtion keys
If the dealer cut you a key from your vin# and it does not work, the ignition in your vehicle has been changed.
There are 2 possible solutions for you, either have a locksmith come out and cut you a key for the vehicle on site; or you can replace the ignition.
If you don't have tools required to replace your ignition, it will probablly cost you more to purchase them and replace the ignition, than it would to have a locksmith come out and cut you a key.
I hope this information helps you, and I wish you luck with the repair.

Brake lights
Hi,
Usual suspects would be:
1. bulbs;
2. brake light switch;
3. rear harness connector;
4. loose grounding of rear lights assembly.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
