Toyota Matrix Instrument Cluster Interchangeable?
I am not sure if these facia units are interchangeable or not but i can assure you that the electronic mileage is unique to every unit and will have to be changed by using specialust diagnostic equipment.
I am getting a low gurgling type sound in the dash
Possible noise may be a low coolant level and what you are hearing is bubbling as it enters or exits the heater core. The coolant valve, if equipped, may be partially open allowing a noisy flow of coolant. Check the coolant level at the radiator when the car is cooled off. A bad radiator cap may allow fluid out but not back in so you may see a full overflow reservoir. Good luck.

Ran out of gas, now car won't start 1998 Toyota Camry
It's quite possible that as you basically ran out of fuel some dirt may have passed through from the fuel tank into the fuel line and into the filter. There is alway dirt/debris in the tank. You may need to clean out the fuel pipes and replace the fuel filter. If you don't have a filter, the dirt may have blocked on of the carburettor jets, that will need to be stripped down, cleaned and replaced.
Accessories will not turn on
It sounds like something needs resetting.Try taking your battery post off for five minutes...Maybe it will reset it self...But it's something of this nature or some wire got left off or crossed
98 Toyota camry temp guage slow to rise but car feels if overheating.
The slow rising temp gauge points to a thermostat which has failed and stuck open. This is easy to replace.
At the same time the gauge will tell you if the car is overheating.
Is it losing coolant at all? A hot smell can result from leaking coolant getting on the exhaust manifold.
The smell can also result when leaking engine oil gets onto the exhaust. Camrys of that era had several characteristic oil leaks
- from the rear of the cam cover, especially on a V6
-from the distributor shaft o-ring
-from the oil filter-to-engine block mounting adapter (if fitted)
