How to charge the a/c

You will see a small oblong black tank with a/c hoses going through it. There should be a connector fitting on this tank or very close to it if inline.Using a a/c gauge, either as part of a charging kit on a can of bottled Freon or a stand alone gauge; attach the gauge to the fitting and read the amount of pressure in the system while the engine is running and the a/c is on.If you have pressure in the system, it may just be low and adding new Freon will help. Some Freon comes with a Leakstop and oil for the compressor. If adding oil, use a compatible product. There are differences just like in motor oil.The goal is moderation. There are 2 cutoff switches to protect the system. A high and low pressure cutoff. You want a moderate charge which will center the pressure between the high and low safety cutoffs. This will result in the compressor staying running the longest and cooling the best. Follow the instructions on the kit you may buy.Be advised in advance...a completely empty system should be Vacuum drawn down. Moisture will leave the system in a Vacuum. You can borrow the machine that does this with a substantial deposit at major Autoparts stores like Autozone. But you need to seal the leak or replace the leaking part if the system is empty. If this is not done, ice wil;l for inside the system. There are repair CD's for about $8 at some major autoparts stores and they should be very helpful to you. I hope my solution is useful to you.

92 toyota cressida oil leak does the timing belt cover have upper and lower gaskets seperate? i bought gasket had it and front main seal gasket replaced still leaking though

Pressure inside the engine is the cause of most oil leaks. Imagine you having a mouthful of mashed potatoes. They probably won't leak out until something makes you laugh or sneeze, increasing the pressure. You don't have a gasket problem, you have a pressure relief problem.Either you have worn cylinder rings and/or a blocked PCV valve or other emission system malfunction.

1992 Toyota problems

it could be the heater or it could be that someone has used too much back to black on the dash board. wipe the windshield down with warm water and a spot of white vinegar, put the heater on full for a few minutes with a towel over the windscreen vents. if you don't clear the problem doing this you will at least highlight by the state of the towel that the core is leaking. Also check for damp carpets around the centre console
