My 4runner's clutch stopped working. Where do I
Do you mean that the clutch will not disengage? If so the first thing to check is the fluid level in the clutch slave cylinder reservoir. If it's dry on fluid you'll need to refill it and look for a leak in the master cylinder, slave cylinder or the line connecting the two. You may also have to bleed the slave cylinder.
Replacing lines for heater core
drain the system, measure both heater hoses, cut a small portion of one of the hoses out and take it to a parts store. ask them to sell you a length of hose of the same inside diameter, but a foot longer than your total measurement, plus 4 hose clamps. take your hose home and replace the lines one at a time. make sure to use some effort to clean off the metal before you slide the hose over and tighten clamps firmly but not so hard as to cut through your new hose. put the coolant back in and buro system. That should do it but do not be surprised if new hoses do not fix a plugged and hence nonfunctional heater core.
Power steering loses fluid
If the hose did not solve the problem, take it back. Tell the service manager ou came in to have the disappearing oil problem corrected, you didn't come in to replace a hose on a hit or miss repair. Sweiously, That is alot of money for a hose replace.
Can not get bottom bolt off starter on a 1992
Place the car on a jack and remove the right wheel to get access into the wheel cavity. It can be done in place but its easier if removed. There is a metal cover in the wheel cavity that is removed to gain access to the starter. Remove this. Now disconnect the connections on the motor. one is a 10mm nut and one a push in connector with a tab to hold in place. Once off there are 2 bolts holding the starter on. I suggest doing the one underneath first since the other can be done easily. Once lower one is all the way out then loosen the top one and remove it. You can just slide the starter out the wheel cavity. Then reverse order to install. Just don't tighten down the bolts completely until both of them are in and snug.
Note: I take off the brush guard to gain access to the lower bolt. Seems like this takes time but I find it easier in the long run to remove the lower bolt this way.
What is the tyre pressure
Hi.
It depends on the tires you use and on the driving terrain.
If you use the original P225/75R15 the recommended pressure is at at 29 psi front 32 psi rear.
If you mount good 30X/9.5/15, you can keep them at 35psi for on road. Lower to 32 if you want softer tires. If you drive mainly off road or you have to drive a particularly bad terrain you can lower the pressure to about 29 psi or even 20 for desert sand or mud.
WHILE DRIVING I ENCOUNTER HESITATION
IS your 4runner a 22re engine or the se v6? also, have you checked your clutch and spark plugs/ignition system, because it's possible you have a misfiring piston... oh, and if it's an auto tranny, you might need to replace the auto clutch, because it may be slipping, which would also cause hesitation
I have a 92' sr5
This could be engine mail seal or tranny. Check the oil if it is a readish color it is tranny oil if not it is mail seal on engine.
Hi, call me a typical
Hi crazee_mumma,
There is nothing wrong in asking questions when we are in doubt , it gives others the opportunity to help...:)
- To check the engine oil if it's filled up to the appropriate level you can check it even if the engine is cold.
- To replace the engine oil it's recommended to remove it while the engine is hot as it helps the oil to be removed from the engine almost completely so that there is hardly any old oil in the Engine , after you put new oil in it.
Hope this helps...:)

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Have you checked to see if it is a coolant sensor? Have you checked to make sure the fans are coming on? Are you leaking coolant anywhere? Checked the cap?
A/c fan keeps running after a/c turned off
Sound's as if the relay has stuck in the operational position. Open the hood and alongside the fuse box you should see the AC control box. Inside it you'll see some relays, the number will relate to the type of unit in the machine. Pull out the relays one at a time and observe which turns off the fan. You nay have to replace the relay.

Dead cyclender
do a compression check, remove all plugs, install compression on each spark plug port and turn engine at least 8 times, the compression reading on each cylinder should be level, if low or no compression , engine valves or bad piston, otherwise, the plug, wire or distributor cap may be bad. It could also have a vacuum leak on the intake manifold. Do the check in order beginning with compression.
Cranck wont start no sparks
Im not really understanding everything that youre saying, but if it just all of a sudden wont start and youre sure that it doesnt have spark, you may want to check to see if the timing belt broke. One way to check, is to take the oil cap off, and have someone try and start the truck. While its trying to start, shine a light into the valve cover and see if the cam is turning. If its not, your timing belt broke and if that broke, youre not going to get spark because the distributer only spins when the cam spins. Good luck!
I have a 1992 4-runner,
It probably wouldnt hurt to run to a pull-a-part/junkyard and see if you can source another MAF. They are expensive new, but you can usually find a used one cheap. Plus, they are pretty easy to install.
