2005 Toyota ECHO Questions & Answers
Toyota echo steering is very stiff
Look at the amount of power steering fluid in your power steering pump.
If it is low, then add until a normal level.
If you don't know how to check or add fluid correctly get help in doing so.
If this does not help, then have the Power Steering Pump Tested by a mechanic.
Toyota echo rear brakes
2 screws on the drum for jacking it off take out the little rubber piece on the back of the drum housing and use a flat top screw driver to release the adjustment you also might need a little bit of help from your hammer lol
Fuse to high beam keeps
Only three reasons a fuse blows like that - the circuit consuming almost as much current as the fuse can cope with, dirty or poor connections to the fuse or fuseholder causing it to get very hot or an intermittent short circuit.
It is often useful to temporarily replace the fuse with an mcb (micro circuit breaker). I use one salvaged from a domestic consumer unit.
If after monitoring the circuit current and wiggling wires and connections, opening and closing doors and suchlike there are no obvious faults it will be necessary to persevere with normal use until a pattern emerges - there is almost always a pattern. I suggest you also suspect the headlamp bulb...
Good luck!
Toyota echo antenna replacement
take off the trim on the inside corner drivers side you should be able to let it go there follow the antenna to the radio and then remove the whole unit good luck
Blinking check engine light
Blinking of Check Engine Light may be due to:
- Misfire (Ignition system malfunction).
- Evaporative system malfunction (Gas cap, fuel tank leakage, canister, vacuum leaks).
- Catalytic converter.
- Wiring and connectors.
It is better to have the car be diagnosed properly with a suitable diagnostic tool and to retrieve the error codes and freeze frame data to locate the problem.
Rattle/Vibration from front of vehicle when idling at stop
Hi and welcome to FixYa. Please try this:
GO out to the car, and lift up on the hood. Does it raise a bit and rattle? If so;
Open the hood, and look at the perimeter of the front radiator support. You will see 2 small rubber thingys, that look like that they are screwed onto the metal that is holding the radiator. Unscrew them a little, and close the hood. Pull up on the hood and see if the rattle goes away. If not, repeat unscrewing the rubber things until the lift disappears.
A FixYa rating (4 blue diamonds) would be greatly appreciated for my assistance.
