Car Stereo locked out need
The good news...
As an anti-theft measure, many OEM vehicles have this feature
The bad news...
The codes are not "generic" or just something anyone can find.... if it were then anyone could steal an OEM radio, contact someone like FixYa and unlock the radio
Therefore, only Toyota can provide the code for you with proof of ownership and your vin #
if you talk nicely to the Toyota technician, he/she may retrieve the code the code for free
However, since they need to use their $10,000 scan tool to access the electronic information from your vehicle their may be a charge
Depending on the charge, it may be cheaper to buy and install an aftermarket radio

Idles but will not accelerate
Try checking your catalytic converter it may be clogged. You can cut it out and put a test pipe in to check it out.
Controller for intermittent wipers/ washer pump
Get the wiring harness at a salvage yard. I doubt they will charge more than $5.
But why change the steering adjustment all the time?
It is easier to just change the seat adjustment.
If you look at trucks, buses, etc., they all have the wheel much up and flatter than most cars. That is because that is actually the safest and best for people who know how to drive safely. You have less control when the wheel is down towards you more, so it is not a good idea.
1994 Toyota 4 runner: I changed battery just fine;
I would make sure the fastener fits your battery and vice versa. Make sure it is not upside down or something like that. Is the replacement battery the same size as the old one?

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
NOTE: Refer to Section 1 for details on battery maintenance.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable from the terminal, then disconnect the positive cable. Special pliers and pullers are available to remove the clamps. Be careful of the many wires and fittings on and around the positive terminal.
NOTE: To avoid sparks, always disconnect the negative cable first and reconnect it last.
- Unscrew and remove the battery hold down clamp.
- Remove the battery, being careful not to spill any of the acid.
NOTE: Spilled acid can be neutralized with a baking soda and water solution. If you somehow get acid into your eyes, flush it out with lots of clean water and get to a doctor as quickly as possible.
- Clean the battery posts thoroughly before reinstalling or when installing a new one. A light coating of petroleum jelly or battery terminal spray protectant will help fight corrosion.
- Clean the cable clamps using the special tools or a wire brush, both inside and out.
- Install the battery, and the hold down clamp. Connect the positive and then the negative cable. Do not hammer them into place. The terminals should be coated with grease to prevent corrosion.
CAUTION
Make absolutely sure that the battery is connected properly before you turn on the ignition switch. Reversed polarity can burn out an alternator in a matter of seconds.
Bought an older 93' forrunner and its said to have
first thing go buy a repair manual, valves dont come loose they fall into the engine usaully when the engine is running (not good plenty damage) it may just need the valve clearences adjusred if they are not hydraulic . so dont pull anything apart untill you get it diagnosed or you will waste plenty bucks
My 93 hilux surf turbo diesel has started to run a
You may want to add some diesel fuel conditioner.
This is most likely from dirty injector nozzles.
You could also try some automatic transmission fluid in your fuel (about 1/4 quart or so)
That sometimes works.
It may also help if you change your fuel filter regularly.
You may also want to do a compression test on your engine to make sure your engine is in good shape.
There are lots of variables, but I would try injector cleaner first.

Power door locks
I didnt see the last answer. The last guy probably meant the hoses that the wires run in, into the doors from the body.
Near the hinges on each door is a rubber hose, that the wires go to the door locks and power windows,
Some times they get split or damaged and a wire can break
Key tumbler removal
If you need to remove the whole switch key and steering lock, you need to drill or punch the mounting screw to loosen them, they are called tamperproof and when installed the top breaks of so they cant be removed. If you just need to replace the electrical part, they often come off the back of the key part with a couple of screws, check with a mirror and torch
