From researching the internet it is in the fuel tank and it seems a new fuel tank is the only way to replace the fuel filter.

good, smart not to do that. hot or cold?, or both idle rpm? and what is it now. cold and hot.>????? RPM ????? it's really not adjustable.! that is the JOB 100% of the PCM it reads the RPM DIRECT FROM CKP sensor and software (ecu firmware) runs a servo system, that controls the ISC (electric air) the ecu works hard to keep rpm right under all conditions. so if RPM is too low (unstated) then its lost control.! this can happen vast ways.

• engine gross misfiring, (tune jump time, skipped at 60k miles?)
• ISC stuck closed
• ECU/PCM stuck in limphome mode, did you scan it with any scan tool and look for DTC ERRORS YET?
• FLOODING. causing misfire
• LEAN FUELing, fuel pressure low, ?
• low engine compression on 1 or more cylinder (a tool)
• bad spark.? weak or damaged spark parts or never done a tuneup.
• lots more ask, and all take tools, got tools? or just want wild guessing?:

well take a needle and see if there is a tiny hole below the part where you put the cd in,you should see a tiny hole somewhere on the face,put the needle in there till it ejects

Pull up the error codes with a scan tool or diagnostic computer.

Must have a bad wire. Most auto parts store sell the whole fixture as a replacement. But you need to make sure it's not in your wiring before you buy that part. Only way to do that is to have a small voltage tester and test each wire with power on. This type of stuff is better left to the mechanic that has the tools to go through the process of elimination.

can only be 2 things, bad lamp, or bad power to it. swap lamps L to R. see if that sorts cause.

If neither of those two things fixed it, it's probably the motor/generator itself having an intermittent open circuit in one of the windings. New motor (MG-1) time, I'm afraid.

Yes,the lock mechanism has either gone bad and needs replaced or is disconnected from the system.Whether it be accidentally disconnected while repairs being done or wire fell loose,pull the door panel and check it.If connected and has power when checked with a test light,it should work.If has power and no action,replace it.
