When this has happened to me my battery was so low that it would close the solenoid switch (clicking) but not enough power to turn the starter motor. Check to see if your battery is discharged.

Most likely cause is worn out battery. They use the small circular watch-type batteries. If you don't know how to open the fob case without damaging it, just take it to a Toyota or Lexus dealer and let them do it. It's alot cheaper than paying for a new fob.

inner light probably works on a door switch, hae ign. switch ckecked. probably it.

you need to ask what grade of oil he used,if he used 5/30 then GET IT CHANGED to 10/40 ASAP.TOYOTA worldwide use 10/40 semi synthetic(regardless of your dealers say so)it is supplied by Castrol to toyota worldwide.(in very hot countries STD 20/50 is used.)
