Tip & How-To about Dodge Dakota
Chrysler, Dodge and Possibly JEEP Late Models.(I am not sure about Jeep)
The blower motor resistor is located inside the HVAC duct, (heating, ventalation, and cooling) on the passenger side footwell area. It is accessed from inside the passenger compartment. You can test it with a multimeter to see if it is open. it looks like this when removed. They are about 33.00 from rockauto.com. When you find the connector on the duct that is connected to this resistor block, remove the connector with a small screwdriver, you have to find the lock tab and gently lift it up and pull on the connector to remove the connector. remove one screw and it will come out. most times you can tell if they are bad by looking at them. if you cant test it have someone you know that can do it. I am 99% positive that that is your problem, Unless the connector came loose. Please let us know if this was helpful as i strive to improve helping others on a daily basis.
