Tip & How-To about Pontiac Grand Prix

USE A TEST LIGHT PEOPLE!

People, use a test light,it is your best friend, when trying to find a bad fuse,or a bad circuit,it is your friend, and using it will make you feel good about yourself.Like testing to see if there is voltage to your head lamp,or to the radio,or to find a blown fuse without pulling it out and looking at it.The test light will tell you witch fuse is blown, and you will not have to look for the fuse, and if the fuse is not marked, for example ,radio,if you test all the fuses, and find a blown fuse,it will most likely be the one for the radio. The test light grounds, with a cilp on a long lead, and you touch the fuses on each side, and if the fuse only lights up,on one side, then you know that fuse is bad,if it does not light up at all,on either side, then you know there is know the fuse has no power to it.The test light is not to costly either, about 5 dollars.

I have a 1990 Honda accord lx and for some reason I dont have dash lights or tail lights but I have all other lights and all fuses and I dont know what to check next

When you say you checked all fuses now for my experience on ridge and on cars for all the years I have just pulling the fuse or looking at the diagram of the four where the fuse is isn't always the best way to go to Bala at what I do and I found it to be helpful as I take a test light and I check each fuse and where power comes into that fuse to power goes out and there's a lot of times that that few will control more than one circuit and by the sounds of it I'm not a big Honda technician but by the sounds of it your tail lights in your instrument cluster lights are on the same circuit so if you got power going to the dash lights and you got power going to the tail lights because of your fuse is good then you have a bad ground you have to have a good ground and good power for the circuit to operate properly. I have found grounds to be the root of the problem when it comes to electrical issues.so like I said go to your fuse box take a test light hopefully you have one of those and check each individual fuse for power coming in and power going out and if all the fuses are good and the grounds are good then you could possibly have bad dimmer but that wouldn't affect your tail lights that would only affect the cluster lights I'm really surprised I have to look at a wiring diagram myself personally because I'm not a huge Honda technician like I said but take your test light. double check double check each fuse.

hello there my name is chris i have a old 1998 buick regal and the power windows dont work the fuses all look good is there a relay on this car for power windows

Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's ? Viewing a wiring diagram too see what all is involved in the power window circuit an testing with a voltmeter or a test light is how to diagnose , not guessing fuse's look good etc..... None of the windows work ??? Besides , the power windows don't use fuse's , has a circuit breaker . An power goes through the driver master switch , the switch could be bad , broken wire inside the flex boot from the body to the door . Your best bet , take it to a quailfied repair shop.
Oh yeah , no relay's .........

2009 F150 radio won't work, which fuse needs replaced?

How do you know it needs a fuse replaced ? Probably not . Learn to test electrical circuit using a voltmeter . Battery power at the radio + good ground = bad radio . If the fuse is burnt , blown etc... electrical short circuit to ground . Fuse's do not just go bad . Electrical circuit problem . Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .
