Actually I just fixed this problem on my car. You need to disconnect the daytime running lights. There is a connection under the steering wheel on the right. Solved my problem very easy.

cranks but wont start. only a shorted starter can do that. or alternator gone nuts but that blows the 60amp fuse seen here you can do lots. first and always first. check all fuse, (TEST THEM) I had a car back in 1972 that (mech, really alternator reg) that went nuts and blew up every lamp in car, at midnight far from home, in a bad neighborhood too.. scary, but engine ran. your car is EFI, and is only safe up to 15VDC< over that you blow up ECU or if lucky (only the 3 ECU fuses blow) is the CEL lamp working in the cluster,? if no the fuses blew. the 3 fuses are IG coil FI and dome. there are 50 reasons for no start but based off one fact i say fuses. testing fuses. matters if they look bad the are, if they look good, they can be in fact bad,(called hairline cracks) we test them did you? really test them,i do it live using a voltmeter the meter NEVER EVER lies. see? using a meter avoids going down the wrong path to H3LL. 95 jx but is it 3speed or 4 speeds. if 3speed, the lever not really going to Drive? if that does happen the trans is bad. if 4sp, (see od light see od switch and P/N switch that is 4speed as is the 2 on gears, if 4speed it has a TCM brain the tranny brain, and we can scan, it , or more accurately a jumper clip , and the TCM flashes out codes is the the OD lamp flashing, yes that is the TCM begging for help. next time post trans gear counts, as we can not guess that ever nor engine. 95 had 2 engine choices. the 3speed also has a filter in the pan area (above) if packed in junk,, as they all do. it will only shift hot. or not at all. its called a full flush, with filter. not a lame drain and fill.

Check the combination switch to see if current is passing through.

does the cooling cut on and off? if is running all the time then that may cause loss of heat, is there any coolant loss?

If you are asking if a soft top is worse to heat than the hard top, the answer is yes, but not that bad. They can be noisier and draftier too, and are only really fun in the summer, when they are down!

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs. I know this website www.reliable-store.com that i used to buy them from, and they sold online it was very good manual. Go ahead, I bet.

GET IT TO A MECHANIC!! Something is loose or about to collapse! Remember that vibration and noise can travel away from the source so get the mechanic to start in that corner. You need to get the following checked! -Prop shaft mountings at transfer box. -Prop shaft mountings at differential. -Prop shaft bearings. -Differential condition and oil level. -Drive shafts at differential end. -Drive shafts at the wheel end. -All flexing joints in the system including UV joints and CV joints.

Remove valve and clean it up. Get a blanking plate and fit it but keep egr in line. Car should be good to go.

Try the following to confirm if is the servo unit .( engine off,pump few times the brake pedal to become stiff.Keeping pressed the pedal start the engine and if servo is working you will feel the pedal slightly goes down.If not will not move at all-remain stiff.) Also if you do have the check valve close to servo not working you can realize it by the engine idle ( erratic ) and the servo not working.The other possibility if the vehicle is fitted,the ABS unit itself.

Yes as Steve says, but check your handbooks & manuals folder first to see if the dealer left the code stuck inside the radio hand book firstly, if not then contact the dealer as Steve said, hope this helps
