I have a 2002 Audi A6 fitted with the Symphony II audio system. It has two problems, the first is that occasionally does not respond to any buttons being pressed it just has a blank dim background light. I have found I can rectify this by removing the unit unplugging everything and then plugging everything in again but the samething will happen again, I just don't know when. The second problem that has just come to light is that it displays "NO CD" when I want to listen to a CD, I know there are six in there. I have tried the above in an attempt to recify the problem but that does not work. Do you have any suggestions please?
Thank you
Phil
SOURCE: Audi A6 Misfires
You may have a coil pack going bad. They're on the front top of the engine - you'll see them if you follow the spark plug wires back. Do you have any codes from having the engine scanned? If you can get it scanned (AutoZone will do it free), post the codes up and we'll see which cylinder(s) are misfiring. From there, you can swap coilpacks around and see whether the misfires follow the packs or stay in the original cylinders. If they move, you have a bad coil pack or two. If they don't, since you've already changed plugs and wires, I'd see about having the injectors diagnosed to see if any of them are failing.
SOURCE: 2002 Audi A6 - clock adjustment
Hi,
I have the same car, and also don't have a manual. I found out to set the clock, pull lightly on the dial in front of the display. The display will blink and all you need to do is twist slightly to set time, date, etc. Hope this helps! How do you love it so far??

SOURCE: AUdi A6 gas tank button
There is no button to open the gas door from the inside of the car. As long as the doors are unlocked, you should be able to push in the far right side of the gas door and the left side will pop open. I too spent hours looking for this non existent button..I went as far as to going back to the car dealership.

I have been having similar problems. The clutch is slipping as thats how you get the variable gears when in full auto, but this is where the problem comes from, some garages (auto gearbox specialists) are now able to fix it. Do not go to Audi as all they do is replace the gearbox (very expensive). There is no quick fix though! Sorry for the bad news!!
