Turn signals (both) on 1996 Subaru Legacy Outback began working intermittently. Was told to check the flasher relay or the turn signal switch. where exactly would I locate the flasher relay on this vehicle? Is this something I can easily replace myself? If it's the turn signal switch, do I need to take it in to get fixed or can I do it myself?

SOURCE: were is the starter located in a subaru legacy

On the drivers side where the motor and transmission join on the top, you should see the starter. Your main hot or red battery cable should lead right to it. It has 2 bolts holding it. 1 is the bolt to hold starter and trans together, the other just holds the starter. Hope this helps and have a great day.

1996 Outback Tachometer intermittent

If you have no other symptoms other than a faulty reading then it can be 2 things, leaking ignition high voltage wires or a faulty tach, i would go with the tach.

Where is the electronic flasher location in a 2000 subaru outback

Subaru really doesn't call it a flasher or relay. They call it a hazard and turn signal module. I do not have a picture of it but below is a picture with an arrow as to where it is located and the picture below that on is what the plug or connector looks like and I can tell you that I'm about 95% sure it is a black plug/connector. I hope I was able to help....

Flashers seem to be stuck on

Try a new flasher if that don't work then you must check the turn signal switch

The turn signals inside the car do not work, just stopped for no reason. told i need a flasher, which i purchased from advanced auto. 3 mechanics today, could not figure out where the flasher is to be...

If the signals outside flash, then you don't need a flasher, just the inside bulb.
The flasher plugs into your fuse box, which is either in the engine compartment, or under the glovebox.

Turn signal replacement 99 outback

Look at it from the inside of the engine compartment. There are two connectors or harnesses. One for the headlights another for the turn signal. I have not had to change mines yet but I think you just take it out by spinning it like a nut on a bolt.
