BATTERY LIGHT IS ON, BRAKE LIGHT ON AND SEEMS AS POWER STEARING IS GONE

It starts but when I drove it, I had no power stearing, the battery light and brake light stays on. I turned around and went home....it had over heated last night when I drove home from work...what could be the problem?

I had the same problem with my 98 Cadillac Deville. I changed the power steering pump and the hose that runs to the rack. The problem was solved, loud noises and whining stopped.

may be that the alternator isnt supplying enough voltage and the system isnt working correctly due to that,put a new battery in dont just jump start not always ideal

the hyrdra boost supplies pressure to these systems, that is done throught the power steering pump, the line or the pump is defective, I would replace both.
