2002 2500 Chevy Express- hard to start idles fine step on throttle and boggs down, no acceleration have to baby it up to speed. I have changed cap, plugs, wires, coil, drop tank checked fuel pump, filled it up and gas flowed out the top.Didn't see a overflow return hose, isn't there supposed to be 1 visible or is it inside the fuel fill hose?

Check the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator and check to see if the fuel pressure regulator has gone bad. Give the throttle body a good cleaning and the injectors too. Do not use carb cleaner, it's to corrosive for the gaskets used in the throttle body. The other thing too that would cause this is a stuck or bad EGR valve, Try cleaning the EGR valve too since your cleaning the throttle body. Good luck and keep me posted.

SOURCE: fuel pump wiring diagram for 1998 chevy express

Well if theres power going to the relay but not out, then you need a new relay. If theres power in and out of the relay, you might need a new fuel pump. The electric fuel pumps inside the tank are actually lubricated by the fuel as it pumps it, and if it runs dry long enough, it can burn out the pump

SOURCE: 93 s10 blazer, 4.3 engine code w...cranks and runs

I don' know if this could be your problem or not, but i had a simmiler problem on a 95 blazer i had, first i thought it was the egr valve, so i took it off cleaned it real good both valve and intake, put it back on it helped but it was still there, my friend a cert. michanic said it was in the injection system just a little skip in the engine when you were just crusing down the road at a steady speed like a gust of wind would hit you, at that time my friend witch is a certified michanic at a chevy dealer advised me to trade it off so i did, at that time it would cost me around 800 to 1000 bucks to fix, but i'am sure its a lot cheaper now, as this was 7 or 8 years ago. Thies injection systems were put on the 4.3 vortex engines, if yours is not a vortex i would say its still a problem with the throutle body.

Testimonial: "very possible. the spider is about $300 aftermarket, and i have been contemplating replacing it."

76 jeep cherokee 360. how many turns on the oxygen screw of the carburator? i can take off fine if i baby the gas but if i give it too much gas it boggs down and back fires.

Sounds like a problem with the accelerator pump or cruise circuit in the carb. The idle mixture screws only affect the idle circuit.
You start with 2 turns out then adjust it with an exhaust gas analyzer.

Run away vehicle-99 chevy blazer wants to accelerate to 1500 rpm, braking will bring idle back down. What's problem?

In most cases problems with idle speed involve the idle air control valve or a dirty throttle body. The computer controls idle speed by how much air is allowed into the intake thru the control valve.
If the throttle is not sticking, I would check the valve and the bore of the throttle body.
You could also have a vac leak but that would usually be a constant problem.

I have a 1985 chevy s10 pickup 2.8 liter,2wd,automatic,w/2 barrel carbuerated motor.it starts rite up..but it idles rough, but when in park if i accelerate it smoothes out and sounds fine..revs rite...

You should probably fix the cable for the second barrel--maybe you can make one with a coat hanger or similar item.

It seems to me that you may also have a miss. Have you checked plugs and wires? How about the timing?

92 Honda Accord boggs down when throttle is pressed at idle speed

try unplugging the egr vacuum source and plug the line and drive. If no difference you ruled out the egr as being the issue.
Please do not rate this solution since by not seeing the car and doing my own test there is no way to tell if maybe you just hooked up something wrong.

1988 cutlass ciera boggs down when i accelerate

Hello! You have symptoms that point to incorrect fuel pressure.
First have the fuel pressure tested as follows; #1...engine running at idle: 13- 20 psi. #2...key on engine off: 23-30 psi. If pressure is incorrect change the fuel pump.

Does the engine "surge" at idle? If so, check the "fuel injection pressure regulator idle air control valve". Apply a vacuum to it; If fuel flows it is not the problem.
