Where is the transmission fluid drain plug located on 2006 ford freestar

It probably doesn't have one. Most cars with automatic transmissions (especially American makes) do not have drain plugs. You have to drop the transmission pan to drain the fluid (or suck it out through the dipstick/filler tube).

How do i (a girl) add transmission repair fluid to '97 Automatic Ford Escort?

Open the hood and look for either a red handle for a dipstick or one marked trans. Remove the dipstick and ,with a funnel, pour the fluid into the tube the dipstick came out of.

Where to find the auto transmission fluid drain plug on a 1997 ford escort?

Hi, there is no drain plug. You must remove the pan to drain the fluid unless you want to sure a pump through the dipstick pipe. You should probably take the pan off anyway to check for metal shavings and to replace the filter. The filter usually comes with a new pan gasket. Please let me know if you have more questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

97 Ford escort automatic is leaking transmission fluid from hose under radiator. Are there any important steps i should take to do this, other than simply taking the hose off and putting a new one on?

hi just drain oil first into a bucket or something that can take the oil, you can do this from under the car with the drain plug, there is no pressure there so it will be ok just to remove it..hope this helps please vote thanks

I need to drain the transmission and was wondering were the plug is located

If this is an automatic there is no drain plug you have to slowly lower half the pan to drain the fluid in which case you should change the pan gasket and filter at the same time if you weren't already.

WHERE IS THE DIPSTICK LOCATED ON A STANDARD TRANSMISSION 1997 FORD ESCORT

This car uses the speed sensor (speedometer gear) as a 'dipstick' -- it's not a dipstick in the normal sense. here are the instructions for checking your fluid:
