Hello: Stand in front of the rear axle, facing the back of the truck, scrape off the paint and rust from the axle tube going to the right wheel. It should be stamped on the axle housing. Or you can count the teeth on the ring gear in the differential. (you have to remove the cover to do that.

I have a 95 Chevy Silverado 4+4 half ton stock putting in 3/4 ton rear end stock will the gears match with front.?

No chances are it probably won't you will have to take the rear differential cover off and get the numbers off of the ring gear divide the small number into the big number and it'll tell you what ratio the ring gear and pinion are

NO--- Check Gear Ratio On Tag Or Tube--Front and Rear Are Not The Same. Or Count Teeth On Pinion And Ring Gear--Divide Pinion Number Into Ring Gear Number For Ratio.

Need gear ratio in my 99 yukon have vin

To find out what your gear ratio is, look on the RPO sheet in the glovebox.
Also check the drivers side door jam or you can remove the "inspection" cover and verify the ratio. A tooth count of the ring and pinion will be stamped right into the ring gear and this will be a sure way of verification. the most popular was the 3:73 with options of the 4:10's for heavier towing.

GU5 = 3.23
GU6 = 3.42
GT4 = 3.73
GT5 = 4.10

What rear is the following gm 7.5? 14080352

Nearly been fooled several times by reading tags. Best and most accurate way to determine what ratio you have is to remove the cover and count the teeth on the ring gear and teeth on pinion gear. Divide pinion # into ring # and that is what you have. (example: 10 on pinion, 30 on ring...30 divided by 10 is 3.00 your ration is 3.00 to 1) On a 4x4 it is critical to match that number front and rear. It isn't difficult to remove the cover and you are likely due for a lube change anyhow.
Good luck!! The only part of the number that may be the ratio is the 352 which could be 3,52:1 but don't trust that.

How do I replace the ring gear and pinion in my 68 Camaro 12 bolt

You can change the ratio back to 4.10. However, if you do not already have the specialty tools required to do the job, you will likely be better off finding a shop that will change the gears for you. A mistake as simple as incorrect backlash will result in destroyed ring & pinion gears.

Your cheaper options will be :
1. Find a matching rear-end with 4.10 gears and swap it in.
2. Purchase the ring and pinion, master install kit, and find a friend that has installed gears before to help you out.
3. Find a 4x4, Hotrod or auto shop that is will swap the gears for you. If the axle is in the car, it's usually more expensive than if you carried the axle in for them to work on.
4. Purchase R&P, Master install kit, all the required tools. Then hit the books to find the proper procedure and measurements for that axle.

Good Luck.

How do I figure out the gear ration on a 4X4 front transaxle with the lable missing?

It will be the same as the rear. It the rear is missing you will need to count the ring and pinion teeth. Ring gear teeth Divided by Pinion gear teeth.

If you just want a ballpark idea, you can rotate the driveshaft and count how many revolutions it takes to make the tire go around once. That will be your ratio.

Rear gear ratio for 93 toyota 4x4 pickup 5 speed.

The C/Tr: C refers to the colour of the vehicle Tr refers to the interior colour A/TM is your transmission type. None of those numbers identify the rear end ratio.

What you need to do: Since you have to replace the rear end, yank it out. Examine the ring & pinion gears on the differential carrier. Mark on each a starting point, and count the teeth on both the ring & pinion gears. Now, after you have both totals of teeth, divide the # of teeth on the pinion by the number of teeth on the ring gear. Example: 12 teeth on the pinion, 46 teeth on the ring
12/46 = 3.83 ratio
