After 3 tries, it wont even accept the code on the radio display, showing the ERR condition. Disconnect the battery for 15 min. This will erase the ERR condition, and allow you to introduce the reactivation code.

How to reset radio code after replacing dead battry on a 2007 Honda fit

Call a Honda dealer, give them your vin# and ask for your radio code, probably a 4 or 5 diget code. Then with accessory switch on, punch the numbers in on your dash. Some vehicles will have the code inside the glove compartment.

My 2007 honda accord chasis no.1hgcm72617a004530 radio is lock and is asking for a code were can i find dis code

You have to call and pay a fee for a 4 or 5 digit code to punch in. It is suppose to stop theives from stealing it and selling it. It costs about 60 - 75 dollars. VWs have had this
for a few years.

I changed the bettery in my 2003 Honda Odyssey and now the radio won't play, it asks for a reset code. How do I find this code to reset it to play ?

Inside the glove compartment on the left hand side there should be a series of numbers under 6. You punch in the order on your pre set radio station numbers and it should come right on! Good Luck!

CODE ERROR WHEN DISCONNECTING BATTERRY

Are you asking how to get the radio to work after disconnecting battery? There is a code in your instruction manual. You punch the code in using the radio number buttons and it restores the system. Hope that helps.

My radio is broken

Hopefully, there is still a Anti-Theft Radio Identification Card in your glove box or with the Owner's Manual.

The five digit number has to be punched into the radio using the preset numbers on the radio. If you make a mistake punching in the numbers do not stop. Complete the 5 digit code even if it is wrong. Then try punching in the correct code again. Even if "CODE" is still displayed after you enter the correct code, input the code again. You'll have about 10 tries to do this and then if you still can't put in the correct code, you'll have to sit it out for about an hour before you can try again.

No card? Snoop around the car -- glove box, storage unit under the seat, all the papers relating to your car etc. to see if there is something with a 5 digit code.

Failing that, then you have to get the serial number off the back of the radio which means having to take the trim panels off etc. and then contacting your Honda dealer with the radio serial number.

Before you resort to that, give them a call first and see if your VIN number will enable them to come up with a code for you.

Hope this helps.

Unlock code for my 2006 Honda civic radio

I have an '06 Honda Civic. The most common places where the code is found is on the left side of the glove box, in the trunk somewhere along the gasket or underneath where the speakers are, under the fuse box panel, under the ashtray and sometimes under center console lid. I happen to find my in the left side of the glove compartment. The first five digits are the code and under that, you should see and 11 digit code which is your radio serial. So once you have the code if you haven't already, turn on the radio. It will ask you for the code and you punch it in using the number on the buttons you use to change your radio stations. As you punch in numbers "CODE" will start to fill in. Just like the asterisks used in passwords. If you punch it incorrectly, it will say "error 1" or something to that effect. Do not push anything else, just start over by punch in the first number of the code and then the rest. Be careful, if you attempt too many times, the radio will lock itself and you will need to leave the radio on for an hour for it to reset itself. When successful done, the radio will turn back on to the last station you were last on. Hope that helps.
