Regards,

If you mean a 3.4L V6 then the firing order is 1,2,3,4,5,6...Cylinders 1,3,5 are in the back ( nearest firewall) and numbered from passenger side to Drivers side..Cylinders 2,4,6 are in the front ( nearest radiator) and numbered from passenger side to drivers side.
SOURCE: picture of 03 impala 3400 firing order?
The side of the engine closest to the radiator is the even number cylinders, 2-4-6. The side next to the firewall is1-3-5.
Looking at the coils from the front of the engine the one on the left is 5-2, center 3-6, right side 4-1. If the coils haven't been replaced the cylinder numbers will be on the top of the coil. The plug wires will also have the cylinder numbers on them if they have not been replaced
firing order 1-2-3-4-5-6

To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes to reflect how your engine is wired.
