SOUND LIKE SHORT IN GAUGES. HEAT WILL CAUSE SHORT TO WORK.HEAT FROM THE SUN WILL CAUSE PLASTIC EXPAND WHEN PLASTIC SHRINK BACK IT WILL CRACK.IF CLUSTER GAUGE HAS A CRACK IN THE CIRCUIT BOARD HEAT WILL CAUSE PARTS EXPAND ENOUGH TO WORK AGAIN.
So do you think changing the whole cluster will fix this problem?
IF OIL LIGHT,BATTERY LIGHT, SEAT BELT LIGHT COME ON WHEN ENGINE STARTS THEN TURN OFF SUPPOSE TO.IF WARNING LIGHTS COME ON WHILE HOT ENGINE RUNNING.YOU NEED CHECK ENGINE OIL LEVEL LOOKING AT OIL DIP STICK OIL LEVEL SHOULD BE AT THE FULL MARK. AND CHECK BATTERY VOLTS SHOULD BE 12.6 VOLTS WITH ENGINE IDLING BATTERY VOLTS SHOULD BE 13.5 - 14.5 VOLTS IF NOT ALTERNATOR NOT CHARGING BATTERY.CHECK ALTERNATOR FUSE AND CHECK ALTERNATOR POWER FEED WIRE AND VOLTAGE REGULATOR WIRES FOR LOOSE CONNECTION OR WIRE DAMAGE.IF OIL LEVEL OKAY.HAVE OIL PRESSURE CHECKED SHOULD BE FOR 2.4L ENGINE 30 PSI @ 1500 RPM FOR THE 3.1L OR 3.4L ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SHOULD BE 15 PSI @ 1100 RPM IF ALL IS GOOD.OIL LIGHT COULD BE FAULTY OIL PRESSURE SENDING UNIT.ALL YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE THE BATTERY ITSELF.
All that is good. It's just the Cluster that's giving me problems
WELL IF ALL IS GOOD CLUSTER MORE LIKELY THE PROBLEM, BUT CHECK THE WIRES TO CLUSTER ALSO.
problem has to be short in wires going to the cluster.

How to Reset the Change Oil Light
After changing the engine oil, the system must be reset.
With the ignition key to ON, push the RESET button
located in the driver's side instrument panel fuse block. The
CHANGE OIL light will start to flash, press and hold the
RESET button again. The reset is complete when you hear
the chimes sound and the CHANGE OIL light goes out.

So I changed the cluster . And that wasn't it. What part of the wiring usually goes out or melts
I boufht the cluster and that was not it . What part of the hiring do I check ?
So I changed the cluster wires and the conecter and still no luck .
