Starting problems This car will just crank and crank but never start. Its getting fuel, Its been tuned and had all of the ignition parts replaced. Could it be the computer chip in the key maybe lost its memory?

Are the injectors getting power and a ground signal from the computer ?

do tune up replace spark plugs and wires.replace fuel filter.to trouble shoot engine not starting check for fuel or spark.if see no spark at spark plugs you could have faulty ignition coil or crankshaft position sensor faulty. could have faulty ECM.no fuel problem could be faulty fuel pump relay or pump failure code scan vechicle first before buying new parts.if all is good timing chain slipped time or broken.

No parts are ever replaced to resolve any vehicle issues

You have to proper test any vehicle systems that apear
to have a problem

Once all the answers are present, only then do parts get
installed if necessary

Things such as fuses & relays only fail here on these web site

Need to have the car at a repair shop that actually can diagnose
something

SOUND LIKE PROBLEM IN IGNITION SYSTEM OR FUEL SYSTEM. MAKE SURE SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES OKAY.REPLACE DISTRIBUTOR CAP AND ROTOR,REPLACE FUEL FILTER AND AIR FILTER,DO A LITTLE TUNE UP FIRST TO MAKE SURE VECHICLE GETTING GOOD SPARK AND FUEL. IF NOT GETTING SPARK CHECK IGNITION FUSE.IF FUSE OKAY PROBLEM COULD BE IN ASD RELAY OR PCM.CHECK FOR FUEL IF YOU NOT GETTING FUEL CHECK FUEL PUMP FUSE AND RELAY.IF ALL IS GOOD FUEL PUMP COULD BE FAULTY OR PCM. I WOULD HAVE VECHICLE CODE SCAN FIRST TO SEE WHAT FAULT CODES YOU ARE GETTING. DONT GO BUY A LOT NEW PARTS CODE SCANNING WILL KEEP YOU SPENDING A LOT OF MONEY,CODE SCANNING WILL HELP SPEED UP PROCESS TO SEE WHAT CAUSING VECHICLE NOT TO CRANK.YOUR GASOLINE IN FUEL TANK COULD HAVE WATER IN IT PROBLEM COULD BE SOMETHING MINOR.

you change cap and rotor? ignition module?, when it wont start either you dont have spark or fuel, tto check if you gave it a blast of starting fluid while cranking If starts and dies you got a fuel problem, if it just cranks you got a spark-ignition problem

I had 4 saturns, a bad crank sensor mounted in the block behind the starter was the fix which matched your problem. When you get the starter out, replace it too as you will not want to go in there again.

i would 1st consider fuel pressure and then when the last tune up was look to make sure the wires and vacuum lines are not dry-rotted and the wires are not rubbing up against body ground try bending the wires and lines for cracks etc.and have a fuel pressure test done .

Squirt starting fluid in intake and try to start if it starts and then dies you have a fuel delivery problem. Make sure you check the fuses for a blown fuse namely fuel pump or fuelpump relay. If it doesnt start after squirting starting fluid in the intake check for spark at the plug wires and coil.

also check the crank sensor and the main crank pulley, this is where the engine gets its firing orders from

May have no spark due to a bad crank sensor, which is responsible for spark when it gets a pulse through the cars' computer.
