Dashboard lights and the tail lights!

Check the bulbs & connections in the dashboard, also see if there is a fuse for instrument lights

The issue is most likely the turn indicator switch, in the steeringn column and it is not cheap.

on older nissans dashoard and tail light is on same fuse. can you please check fuses on drivers side under your steering wheel? check #16.

Turn the light switch on and check your tail lights. Back then the tail and dash lights work on the same circuit inside the headlight switch so if one was out so was the other. If this is the case you need a new headlight switch. If not, there should be a fuse in your panel marked "instr". that's for the dash lights. Hope this helps.

yes, i would check the fuse marked "tail lights" nine times out of ten, if you have no dash lights you won't have tail lights nether....

probably have a bad ground to the dash cluster or the dimmer is shorted

check the bulbs in the dash they could have blown out ,they aint made to last forever,it may be something that simple.

I think you will find a blown fuse,the tail and dash lights are on the same fuse.

I took my pathfinder to U-HAUL and asked them to check the towing lights. There was a pinched wire by my tail light and they cut it and changed it out for me, it was $5. I am so glad that I didnt take it to Nissan. My second step was going to be getting a new dimmer switch..but the guy who worked on my car said that wouldnt be the problem. He also told me that replacing a fuse that kept blowing out was dangerous and after the first time to get it checked out. Learn something new every day!!
