No, the problem is with the fuel level sending unit in the gas tank. This is normally a substantial repair task. Fortunately, your sender is sold separate from the fuel pump and both are accessible from the trunk under the spare tire. The labor should only be a couple of hours. Remove retaining ring on sending unit remove unit from tank taking note how it comes out because its got to go back in the same way it came out, chg. pump on sending unit there is one electrical plug, reinstall unit in tank with retaining ring, assemble in reverse order.
No there isn't, the fuel level sender sends the signal to the gauge on the dash to show how much gas is in the tank.Sorry,but the gas tank needs to dropped to replace it.
