I bought a 95 accord lx with the same radio and it was so hard to get the code. Finally, I just got myself another raido with usb and SD card capacity and this is a lot better than the old radio. I took the connector from the old radio (two hours work) and use the connector to connect my new radio to the speakers.

What is the code for the radio?

It's different for every stereo as it's a theft deterrent system. New, all Hondas come with a card with the stereo's code on it 5 Digit Code on it. When you disconnect the battery or drain it, the code needs to be reentered again. This being such an old car I'm assuming you are not the original owner so it's unlikely you'll be able to go through the steps on Honda's website to find your code (it also requires pulling out the stereo to get the Serial number) as it will ask you original date of purchase information. So, you'll have to take it to the service department of a Honda dealer and they'll be able to help you.
Good luck!

Changed battery in 1995 honda accord, now i need radio code

You'll need the serial number from the radio which may require you to take the stereo out of the car. Before you take the stereo out, while the ignition is off, press and hold the 1 & 6 on your deck. While holding the buttons turn the car on (make sure the deck is also on) it may flash two codes on the screen. If that's not the case, use a plastic tool to carefully pull the black plastic trim from around the stereo. Once that's off there will be a few screws to remove. Then write down the info from on top of the stereo (I like to take a picture). Call your local Honda Parts department. Give them the serial number and they will give you a code. Sometimes they will ask for prof of ownership.

You need visit the dealer to obtain this lock code; this is one unique code for each stereo, so, anybody could send it in the internet. Sometimes, in the dealer, you'll need to pay for this service.

Hope helps.

Code error

If it's the factory radio, the code is to unlock the stereo. It's a theft prevention thing. If you aren't the original owner, you probably don't have the plastic card that contains the code.

Although you can take it to the dealer, it would probably be better to to to Best Buy or Sears and put in a cheap aftermarket stereo.

1992honda accord has theft problem with stereo system

umm... please explain what the problem is...most honda stock stereos have a code the needs to be entered before you can use the stereo...which the original owner was given. if you pull the battery cable off...the stereo lost power..therefore it needs the code re-entered...otherwise your gonna have to make your own music. you can install an after-market stereo as well to solve your problems if you cant get the code from Honda or the past owner(s) hope this helps.

1995 Honda Accord Stereo

I found the dealership that my car was originally bought from and called them. They pulled up the code and gave it to me. If you have anything with dealers name it will help. Or maybe honda dealership and give them the vin number so they can pull it up.

1995 Accord Radio reads CODe. Suggestions?

I had the same issue with mine. Call a dealer, they will ask for a number that's on the back or maybe the top of the stereo. They will also need proof that the car isn't stolen and is actually your's before they will give you the code to unlock it. Hope this helps.
