Hello : The park/neutral switch may be the problem. Either it is out of adjustment or it is worn on the inside, It is mounted on top of the transmission where the gear selector cable attaches to the transmission. Recommend to let a professional Technician do the task.

My 2006 equinox won't start after it warms up

Hi,
Does it only 'not start' after putting in gas or anytime after it's been warmed up?

Does the Check Engine Light come on? If so, take it to an auto parts store and they will usually check it for free.

Google the codes displayed when checked to see what to fix.

Usually a sign of something draining the battery.
The machine test probably showed the battery could hold a charge and the alternator was charging the battery.
You may need to have someone check for a power drain.
When the key switch is off, there may be a weak short to ground or a relay or component that is using power.

2006 equinox does not start when turn key on, no interior lights and acts like its the battery.happened very quick

It sounds like the battery. It is possible you have a dead cell in your battery which will act like what you have described. Check your cables to ensure you don't have a grounded wire somewhere. Then have the battery tested at Auto Zone. If it is bad replace it. If it isn't bad then you will need to start looking for a short somewhere.

Lost all electric power in car. Drove it 15 miles parked and 1 hour later nothing. The remote door unlock did not work and the dome light did not come on after manually opening. Tried to jump no luck. any...

This happened to me two weeks ago, i tried to jump it and nothing, sor I repalced the battery. A few days later I got a flat, and told the service guy at the shop what happened. He checked the voltage on the "jump points" and told me the jump points weren't connected to the battery. I found out that if you need to jump this vehicle, remove the fuse block,a nd put the jumper cables directly on the battery. I spent 100 bucks on a new battery for nothing!!!

Lesson Learned: Chevy "Jump Points" make me want to jump off a bridge!
