ABC means "Active Body Control" system. You need to access the ABC ECU (Electronic Control Unit) using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) memored. Then you will be full informed about bad components, and you will be able to repair & replace bad pieces. Then you will be able to erase all DTC from ABC ECU memory and reset the ABC ECU. Therefore the ABC light will turn OFF, and the car will running fine.

Before you can check this:
Common areas are behind the front left tire in the wheel well and also there are 2 hoses that run under the car, around the front axle area, and also in front of the radiator there might be some lines. I have seen all of them blow out on occasion. The ABC pump itself goes bad too. Also there are valve blocks one for each axle and they go bad or get clogged up. Check the level with the larger of the 2 sticks in the reservoir there are 2 marks on it in german. The lower mark is with the car running, and the top mark is car off. There is a filter, its in the reservoir that you check the level in. It's the large screw off cap there is a filter on there. But changing and flushing is usually done with the Mercedes Benz computer so the car can dip and roll manuever they call rodeo that will actuate all 4 struts in a circular motion to bleed out the lines and stuts of debris and old oil. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself cause the pump could run dry and you could also get air in the system. It's really hard to say what the problem is. The dealer might recommend flushing the whole system and putting on a new filter to start. But I have replaced many valve blocks and pumps too. You might have no choice but the dealer.
See one similar case only as an example:
Mercedes CL 500 2001 ABC fault, all started when the car was left for 1 month without being started the battery went flat, no problem prior to this event.
ABC white light "visit workshop" this has been appearing for sometime after the flat battery but would disappear.
Car holds level and height overnight.
The red ABC warning has started appearing this last few days the suspension gets bouncy and raise lower switch inoperative.

stored codes:
CAN bus N47-5 interfered
n15/3 CAN bus interfered
terminal 30 low stored voltage
critical fl car stored -0001 height
system pressure stored too low code 006
component B22/6 rr journey sensor malfunction
A67r1 potentiometer vertical position short or open
A67r2 potentiometer horizontal position short or open
B1000 module fault.

SOURCE: cold start valve problem

if you have an electric cold start valve make sure to unplug it and if keeps apling fuel with electrical conector unpluged that means the valve is not good, but if not then you have an electronic problem, possible a bad cold start sensor or cold start module or cicuit problem, and might be a time to take it to an electrical shop

06 Lincoln navigator front left air spring is flat and not operating

Try this from my previous post....

Have a similar problem... My 2003 Lincoln Navigator was manufactured May 22, 2003 so it's the late model that came with the Intec 5.4 Liter DOHC V-8 (not the Triton engine).

I replaced the two front ride height sensors (one for each air strut) and replaced the one rear ride height sensor that controls the ride height for BOTH rear air struts. (Yours may have one ride height sensor for each of the rear air struts.) That solved the problem for a few months during the warm months, until the weather started cooling off. Then back to the same issue.

The front passenger air strut started releasing air from the solenoid (air block) making a "hissing sound." Replaced BOTH front air strut solenoids (connected at the top of each air strut). That also resolved the problem for a few days. After going all around the world, I discovered it's the Air Ride Control Module (ASM) that was the problem all along.

This is most likely the culprit for your air ride suspension problem.

Need to change fuel filter, where is it located? are there 2 of them?

The fuel filter is located on the inner frame rail, just ahead of the passenger side rear tire. It is held in place by a worm clamp (hose type clamp) with an 8mm head to loosen. Please use safety glasses. Release the fuel pressure by using the schrader valve on the injector rail or disconnecting the inertia swith which is located in the trunk, passenger side behind the carpet type cover. Start the car and allow to run until the vehicle stalls. It will now be safe to remove the two white fuel filter clips (occasionally one black) and install the new filter with the arrow facing the front, or just pay attention to which way the lip on the case goes. Install new clips (be sure to check the box when purchasing, sometimes sold seperately). Good luck, if there is any reason you can't give four thumbs up, please ask for more information :o)

PS. There is one main fuel filter. The only other screen type filter is part of the fuel pump and not typically serviced since the pump is in the fuel tank.
