My 94 Honda civic Vtec will not start , I think it may be the alarm immobiliser thats causing the problem as there is a relay buzzing inside it when I switch the car on. Engine turns over but will not fire.

I do know that there is a main relay in the car that plays an important role in the car starting/running. I have changed many distributors, thinking that they were deffective. When turns out that relay was Intermittently working causing the car to run one day and not the Next. I do know that heat is a factor because if my car windows were left up and it was burning hot inside the car it wouldn't start, but once it cooled down it would start. Sounds like yours is just completely dead. It costs like $80.00 for the relay but and acura/honda repair shop should have them stocked.... Notoriously known for similar issues your having due to deffective MAIN RELAY
usually when they start doing this its the ballasts failing. but they don't go as a pair. other problems that can cause the problem is battery or the alternator. it can also be a bad earth. and most common fault is the relay. so i would start with looking at them battery should be fully charged holding 12.5/8 volts alternator should be charging battery at 14.00/02 volts, this is while on the vehicle if one or both are not charging or holding this rate there could be the problem. if the relay is at fault you will hear arcing in the relay if you listen to it. ballasts can buzz as well when they are going. earthing they would need removing and cleaning the connections, hope this helps.
P1259 HONDA - VTEC System Malfunction Possible causes- Low engine oil pressure or level - Open or short circuit condition - Faulty VTEC oil pressure switch - Faulty VTEC solenoid When is the code detected? The P1259 is set when there is a problem in the VTEC Oil Pressure Switch circuit or VTEC Solenoid Valve circuit
did you try the main relay which is next to the fuel pump relay ..(the brown relay next to the blue(fuel pump relay) behind the glove box they are known to go as well and also i think the fuel pump relay feeds power of the main relay.
