My nissan maxima will not give any codes because the data link connector will not communicate. But all fuses seem to be ok.
.
The Link Error message is a bit too non-specific for my resource list.
Is there any possibility you could get a free readout at an Autozone
where you might get a code number or more info? I do have the '96
wiring diagrams and can give you the connections from the wires of the
plug and you could check those for continuity, assuming that is what
the code means. So let me know if you want those connections and I'll
type them back to you right away.
Roland
checked all fuses and Relays that I could Identify.
What I would need to look at is the Wiring to and from the Link
Connector and the ECM I am not sure what readings I should get with a
Multi Meter.
Once again the reason I'm looking into this is the car feels as it has no power under acceleration
.
The text above is a follow-up to ...

ok here is how it works
the computer is hooked up to the wireing loom to the car and sends all the correct messages though to make it run
the data link goes from the link to the computer
if the link dont work it might be the wiring from there to the computer or dirty or wet inside terminals
also can be a fault with the computernot reading the data link
whats the problem with the car can any of us at fixya help?
