1999 Acura TL 3.2: there is a continuous grinding kind of a sound when the car is driven (somewhere in the front - likely right wheel) ... happens when the car speed is in excess of 20 mph and changes with the speed of the car. I have shown it to several mechanics. Some say it might be the wheel bearing, some the wheel hub and others can't identify the cause. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx Rajiv

SOURCE: how to remove a wheel hub assembly on a 2004 acura

Do you have the Haynes Repair manual? If not you might have to get one. Otherwise follow this simple procedure: take-out the required wheel. Remove the axle wheel-nut. Loosen the strut bolts. Remove the ball-joint boltand nut. Disconnect the steering tie-rod, and push it out it's place. Take out the strut bolts. Finally take out the hub assembly. If you are not mechanically inclined, it won't be easy. You might need a friend who's versed in this, or take your car to a friendly shop and watch them do it. That way you gain some insight for next time.

How to remove front wheels of Acura 1996 3.2 TL

The large nut you see is most likely the axle retention nut.

It is NOT used to hold on the wheel.

The wheels on a 2000 Acura TL are secured to the wheel hub by 5 lug nuts.

If after removing the "lugs" the tire and wheel may be difficult to remove after a long period due to corrosion betweem the wheel and hub.

If this happens, tap the tire at opposite ends (like 12 and 6 o'clock) with a rubber or plastic mallet.

This should help to loosen the wheel so you can remove it.

I need the code for my acura tl 1999

Call a dealer and have your VIN handy, if you bought the car used, most people write down the code in the owner's manual somewhere.

Acura 1999 tl radio promblem

Try this: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!
