I am having problems starting and shutting the engine on a 2007 lexus gs350. On startup, engine cranks over strongly and starts up but stalls immediately. Takes several attempts before engine is running. When shutting down, the engine will restart. Takes several attempts to shut the engine off.
The car is working perfectly now. Disconnecting the battery reset the computer in the car. As an aside, when you disconnect the battery, you will need to reprogram all of the non driver window switches so that they will work.The car is working perfectly now. Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. or more before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation. Please keep me posted on the progress.

you threw all those parts,? wow if yes.
must be rich no? guessing?
what does fan mean, engine or dash heater blower?
if starter is dead, silent, just clicks or chatters say so
or if starter motor does crank the engine fast say so
and say cranks but does not start.

the latter failures are 50 fold. (no start)
no cranks are 6 causes
see why telling what going on first makes the job near 10 more easy,. IT DOES>?
stop throwing parts and ask for help before.

Just bought the GS460 after driving BMW5 and InfinitiM35sport. We tested the GS350 and found it didn't have the acceleration of the BMW, but liked the ride of the GS. When we drove the GS460 we loved the control and in sport suspension it reminded us of the BMW5. It really came down to the whole controls, navigation, and luxury feel of the Lexus. I really didn't like idrive and hated the turn signals on the BMW. The Infiniti was loud, rough, and had a mediocre sound system compared to BMW or Lexus, although we liked the M's navigation and acceleration. We just decided for $60,000 the Lexus was a more reliable car.
